That is a point but the two tribes could cooperate to establish a line of communication which could increase trade, population happiness etc.

    1. Real-time/Extended-time

Depending on the uptime maybe have a cycle of day night day broken up into thirds of the uptime. This means if it will be running for three hours then you have and hour of day followed by an hour of night then by day again.

    5. Redstone telegraphs - ok cool didnt really think it would be that feasible with chunks unloading in the middle but I am sure much cleverer people than me can find ways around that :)

    8. Cooldown for placing blocks - this would massively decrease the pace of the game imo creating boredom and possibly people quitting. I believe this is one aspect of vanilla that can not be removed as part of the simulation.

    9. Maps - didnt know about that thanks for informing me!

The other items are mostly aimed at fleshing out the gameplay not nescessarily the simulation but I still believe that an engaging world is nescessary to make people commit time and effort to any long scale project.

What I think would need to be implemented as must haves :)

    1. Real 24-hour time or longer days and nights

    2. Some form of physics - what I mean by this is if you have an underground cube 9x9x9 then it would be a good idea to have support structure in the middle to stop it from collapsing. Might not be feasible on a multi-player server/ in line with the amount you want to alter the game-play but I believe it would add an interesting aspect to the game-play.

3.Concerning the "being able to check employees inventory to stop smuggling" - a slot to place an item that has a fairly low chance of appearing empty to the supervisor

    4. Altered/Expanded chat system - having a local chat that is a small radius. Also perhaps some plugin that should two blocks be connected with redstone they can act as long range communication in some way.

    5. Larger, but rare, clusters of resources to establish a mine that isn't just dig in this direction at this level and hope for the best. These would be important structures that would need to be defended to ensure economic stability for the controlling tribe. Would also provide points of contest and periodic battles where skills could be levelled and such

6.Concerning combat with swords - I have no idea if the block action actually blocks and damage or whatever but it would be necessary for any battles to have any refinement to them

    7. The removal of nameplates for realism and for sneakiness (Tunnelling, etc.) or an option to have yours visible or not so in towns you could have it on and then when out and about it could be off

    8. No cool-down for placing and mining blocks (i think that was what someone suggested?)

    9. The options concerning maps should be greatly expanded to include local area maps extremely large area maps etc..

    10. Should there be multiple islands per map (I believe they should be within view distance maybe only on far so people with better computers can have better 'eyes') then larger boats should be intorduced

    11. Concerning the forgetting of skills - if you learn to ride a bike in real life then it is very hard to forget, saying this maybe have a ledger of skill levels that degrade over time but which you can quickly relearn if you lose a level (relatively speaking).
e.g. X has sword skill at lvl 5 and doesn't need to use weapons for a time (due to peace).
Xs sword skill is now at lvl 1.
Suddenly the leader of the tribe starts to conscript the players of the tribe for his army. X due to previously having studied at swordplay can quickly relearn (relatively speaking) his old skills and is up to lvl 5 again.
To balance this, it should take a fairly heavy investment on the players side to learn a level of a skill.

12.for aesthetic purposes, ancient buildings should be generated with a rare block of resources as a special reward or if books are writeable then perhaps a treasure hunt leading to other islands for those who have not yet discovered others (that tribe with the inherent bad eyes)

These are what I have thought of so far and from reading the topic.

posted a message on Request for parts to build a pc
    Hey guys,
Once again I need help to choose some parts for a decent gaming rig for around $1500 (AUD).
This has to include OS and a screen.
It will be used for gaming (medium gaming as he mostly wants to play mc right now but in a few years im sure he will want to expand his library) and for school work (Word, Excel etc).

Also if someone could do one for $1000 it would be great.

Thanks for anyone who can help and give their time :)

Ok thank you beggerboot, I am now confident to buy and assemble the components :)
Just for future reference, should I overclock my cpu would it be advisable to buy a higher quality thermal paste and apply that instead?

And as the PSU is a modular design, this does still mean that all cables come supplied or not?

    Thanks for all your help

Yeah I meant view port just could't think of the proper name :P

Well from this picture, which is the paneling on the front removed to show the cabeling,
    http://benchmarkrevi...Front_Panel.jpg
would you say it will be nescessary to purchase something like this http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=17887?

Also the supplied thermal paste will be fine is what you are saying? Just cant quite make sense of that :)

This is just a sort of follow up topic to ask a few details before ordering parts for a new pc.
Thanks to Christoi who recommended the parts by the way
    :)

    Anyway, here are the components

    Intel i5 2500k (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=16531)

    ASRock Z77 Extreme4 (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=19867)

    G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB DDR3 1333 (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=16509)

    EVGA GeForce GTX670 (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=20210)

    Seagate Barracuda 2TB (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=19554)

    Crucial M4 SSD 128GB (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=17685)

    Lite-On DVD Drive (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=19580)

    OCZ ZT 650w (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=19352)

    Thermaltake Overseer RX-I case (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=18313)

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=17003)

Now for CPU cooling, as the case has a display port, I was wondering if instead of using this aftermarket cpu cooler
Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=18670)
    I could use this one
    Enermax ETS-T40-VD (http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=18648)

Also I gather that I would need to purchase a tube of thermal paste as well to set it up properly yes?

Now onto the motherboard and connections. With this case there are some usb 3.0 ports located in the front that would obviously need to be hooked up. What cables would I need to be able to plug these into the motherboard instead of routing them out the back of the case and into available usb ports.

Thanks a lot to anybody that can help.

How about this one then http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=18648
It is a more reasonable size and will compliment the blue colour of the case nicely.
Also can someone please answer my queries at the end of page one?
Thank you very much to anyone who can help.

Also could this cpu fan: http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=14858
    replace this one: http://www.pccasegea...oducts_id=18670
I ask as the case does have a viewport and I prefer the design of the first fan I listed. I do of course go for efficiency/what is better for the system above looks but if it would work just as well I would pick it.

Ok thanks all. I think I will, with all this extra information :) , go with
    Christois' build

However, for that motherboard will I need to run the USB 3.0 plugs from this case http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=18313 at the front out the back and into the motherboards integrated usb ports or are there adaptors available? Also will any thermal paste do for the aftermarket CPU Cooler and from what Christois said i gather that should I want two graphics cards this is an option yes?

Thanks for all your help guys. ill post when i have it all assembled and working :)

Cheers guys, just one last question. In the newegg videos the guy recommends to spend about the same amount of money on the cpu as the gpu to avoid bottlenecking issues. How come you chose a lot cheaper ones?
