So no legal Chinese servers then..... That was my point, this new venture serves to sell the game within the PRC whereas prior to now they would have been illegal from Mojangs perspective. I'm not sure why you're arguing the point when you readily concede the facts in your own post.

What? Are you living in a cave? That word is used in the financial world all the time. You need to get out more. -

I think you just answered your own objection. There has been no official sales channel for Minecraft within the PRC until now. There is at least one server in China that I know of, but I'm not sure if it's legal or not.

Where do you see that it's being downgraded? I didn't think there was a feature here for the purpose. And let's not assume it's racism, there's a lot to consider when dealing with China as they're our largest economic foe in so many ways. But this is a great story because it means we can bring some of that Chinese debt back to our country. Every little bit helps. I can only hope that Mojang/Microsoft doesn't make any political concessions in exchange for the privilege to sell into the Chinese economy. -

Most changes on these sorts of products includes the removal of American jingoistic elements, anti-Communist/PRC sentiment or pornography, I can't imagine any changes would be necessary. But then again, we're dealing with Beijing, they're not terribly consistent in their censorship.

Microsoft says "Show me the Money!" China is going to be HUGE for Minecraft. I'm calling it now, Minecon 2019 Hong Kong

So you didn't back up your old worlds to an external source and the original source is gone. I think this case is solved fella's! Pack up the van, we're heading back to HQ!
For the record, backing up any data is only helpful if you remove the backup from the original source.

I haven't made that claim so there's no burden of proof for my argument. I am speaking directly to the fallacious argument that piracy does not affect sales. You are arguing against the status quo, which is to say that you are arguing against legal, and by majority view, moral commerce. Commerce is the status quo, pirating is the exception. It is your burden to prove that pirating is not affecting sales. I understand very well that this is a dubious task to prove such an assertion to a large extent as any survey would undoubtedly be skewed by the pirates own moral ambiguity. It does, however, remain your burden.

Mojang can advocate piracy all they like, but it's not their decision anymore.
And defending Microsoft is no different than defending a 2 man indie developer. Your ability to pay for something does not negate or validate your rights. Rights are universal and should never need to pass a litmus test. Either you support piracy in all kinds or you do not. There is no gray area here.

Milking? How much did Microsoft pay for Mojang? $2.5 Billion dollars. That would require 83 Million full price purchases of the original software just to break even. That's 83 Million ADDITIONAL users on top of the existing user base. How in the hell is that milking anything?
And you have no guarantee that those pirates wouldn't have purchased the game in the absence of piracy either. The fact is that in the absence of a sale there's no way to know for certain, so the burden of proof lies with you to prove otherwise as intellectual property law clearly lies in favor of the copyright holder.

Baby zombie is almost certainly a developers kid making zombie noises.

Are you aware that you are posting in the XboxOne forum? McEdit is a PC program. The XboxOne edition very certainly has a despawn issue, intentional or not. The warning is very definitely on the load screen in the XboxOne version. If I had a screen shot I would provide it.

Are you going to stalk me now? If you want my phone number you should just ask.

It's not overpowered it just has every enchant in the game at max level.
Oh, well in that case.....

There's a tip on the rotating loading screen that says farm animals may despawn in plots that are 20 or more blocks long. I thought this was common knowledge? It has happened to me on numerous occasions.

Perhaps I'm being a tad vain here but I do hope you weren't highlighting those words for my sake. For the record I have no interest in moderation aside from my sideline soccer parent critiques. I've moderated and administrated many forums in my past and I agree with you that it is largely a thankless job, although there are certainly perks to be had I'm sure. Whether or not those perks are worth the hassle is quite another story.
I suspect they were not addressed very promptly which might be the reason why I assumed they were being ignored. If I am wrong then I apologize.

I gave up reporting them after seeing no results. I don't think anyone is looking for omniscience here, but a daily visit from a moderator would be nice. Relying on the report function from your members is lazy moderation, no offense intended. Have you considered appointing a new moderator? If Other Platforms is such a huge undertaking then it sounds as if you need help. I'm sure you have a list of experienced and senior members that would be interested. I would also like to suggest a sticky (or whatever notification system you have in place) that directs people to the proper forum for multiplayer requests. That would go a long way towards solving this issue.

Your "roof of doors" is too high to register. According to the wiki "Villagers will recognize a house within sixteen blocks along both horizontal axes, and up to three blocks above or five blocks below the level of the ground the villager is standing on" Your doors are four (4) blocks above ground level which would render them useless towards the village total. May I suggest placing them on the sides of the building like regular doors? You can easily achieve the desired effect that way.

I'm confused when you say a "roof of around 40/50 doors." I assume you mean an enclosed building (with a valid roof) with doors on the the exterior? If so that should work.
Are you trading with your villagers? New offerings will enable them to become willing. You can also toss bread, wheat, carrots or potatoes at their feet. Sometimes it just takes a while.

Except he's getting upset because they "took away" his glitch. He's acting as if the glitch was a feature when he readily admits that it wasn't when he calls it a glitch. Had he come here and said "hey, what happened to the x-ray feature?" then he might have some credibility.

Multiplayer threads are drowning out the discussion and it seems that nobody cares. There is a dedicated multiplayer forum yet nobody is being directed to use it. I've reported numerous threads and no action has taken place.
Are the moderators on vacation?
I'm taking bets on how soon this thread gets closed/moved because it breaks the rules but the multiplayer threads remain untouched. Right now the odds are 90/10 in favor of closure because someone will get their feelings bent over being called out for not doing their job properly.
In the off chance that someone actually wants to take ownership of this problem I will gladly retract my criticism.
