Old bump I realize, and I noticed his last post was Sept.
When I realized that I came to the conclusion that this may be dropped, for the love of god please don't tell me thats true. This is truly an amazing project that I was looking forward to seeing finished,

Does anybody agree with me at all? Can we agree that we would just like to know....

We just want a straight answer. "When will multiplayer be like single player?" "When can we play Survival Multiplayer and be able to take damage and kill animals/monsters?"

    Are you trolling.
You can take damage and all that fun stuff in Multiplayer now, the only difference single player has over MP is that furnaces fully work and monsters. Stop complaining about features that aren't even released yet because its clearly not finished.

Also, tone down your language, its unneeded.

Not very scary in my opinion.

    Kind of cheesy though.

Am I just lucky that I've never cared for the forums, I always play on private servers with friends.
Man I remember when Notch had just setup and released the game maybe a week after the fact, ah creative mode was glorious in its early stages lol.

    is there a tl;dr version?

Think of it as a book, so no sorry. Just read the end I guess, might ruin the whole thing for you.

A quick summary for those who are weary about the story though.

Surely you've heard the stories that mothers use to scare their children from running away into the caves? The story of the poor Sign Painter. Wicked things lurk within the night, and many a folk know all to well of the horrors down deep within the Earths depths and mines. Many adventures that muster the courage to explore these ancient mines do often go missing, never to return. Meet Ragged the Sign Painter. Not much is known of him, other than of course.. he loves to paint signs. What kinds of signs? Oh dear, lots of signs. Big signs, little signs, tall signs, or even signs that serve no real purpose other than to.. how can I put this. 'Rile' up a local village. Of course you don't want to hear about that.. no.. you want to hear about his adventures down deep within the mines correct..?

Ragged, having stolen a blanket from some unsuspecting child, was wrapped up in a tree one gloomy night trying to sleep. He hadn't slept for 28 hours and it was really getting to him, why? Who knows, but locals in the village he was near said they had seen him walking around, never tiring. Well, that night Ragged had been thinking willy nilly trying to sleep when he figured why not visit the caves a bit north to hopefully get him tired a bit. Maybe even find some treasure while he was at it. Grabbing his rusty stone pick, that he had stolen from a farmer last may, Ragged scampered noisily from his tree waking up a village girl named Mew. Staring at Ragged blankly, she sat up in her bed peering out her window as he simply walked off into the forests. "Momma, where is he going?", her mother then hushed her daughter and told her to never think about Ragged again. "Even if he is to return.. dare he wish not to".

As Ragged reached the outskirts of the mountain a dark chill seemed to fill the air, a wind was picking up. Wrapping his stolen blanket even tighter around himself he pondered simply going back.. until a slow rumble from underneath him had gotten him alert and curious. "What could that be..? Lava..? No this mountains been tame for years" he pondered to himself. The rumble was felt again and his curiosity had hit its peak as he shuffled slowly into the pitch dark cave. "Light.. light.. ah coal"- grabbing wrappings of cloth off the ground, some wood and some coal, Ragged made a quick torch to light his way. Stumbling over rocks and losing his footing going down the steep mine the rumbling had began to grow and his heart began to slowly speed up in anticipation. Clutching the rocks on the mine wall Ragged had felt vibrations and.. heat. Quickly putting his torch on the ground Ragged looked over his shoulder to see if anyone was following him, then quickly turned back to examine the rocky walls. "Someone's been here, very recently.." he whispered to himself. "But..-" as he went on to talk his torch had suddenly went out. Startled a little, Ragged put his back to the wall and looked frantically around the room hoping to find light.. anything.. when suddenly began to play in the room. Ecstatic in his fear Ragged let out a short breath and inched his way back up the caves. Only to find wall.. Ragged was lost..

Hours later he had awoken from passing out in fear, and extreme exhaustion. Hearing the rumbling again Ragged let out a scream "Who is there? Show yourself! I am not afraid of you!". His shallow threat echoed through the cave. Several heart pounding moments later that seemed to stretch on forever, the song played once more. Only this time it grew ever louder. Ragged, reaching the brink of insanity from being trapped in pitch darkness for so long screamed endless "Stop it!, please I beg you. That terrible music please! Please stop!". After a few minutes the music did indeed stop, and for several moments after a thick.. intense air had filled the cave. Tension in Ragged's stomach was building.

Then.. slowly.. white eyes appeared from the darkness, maybe 10-15 feet from where Ragged was standing. Those pale, empty eyes stared at Ragged. Not at him.. but through him. Ragged froze in place for several moments as they stared each other down in the darkness. The music started up again.. and the white eyed creature let out a soothing, slow toned voice. "Hello.. do you like my song.. I made it.. for you..". Ragged's eyes widened in horror as he let out a gasping frightened scream. The creature softly smiled in the darkness and spoke but two words. "Mine.. forever.."
