posted a message on Is this forum DEAD?

Honestly I just think Forums as a whole are becoming out dated, not just here. Not only do you have to deal with various rules and restriction every forum might have, limited features or posting restrictions but you generally need to make a new account for every single forum you might use. Things like Reddit or Twitter let you pretty much have one account for every and any interest you might have. Forum's are getting about as out dated as going to the post office to send some one a letter.

I mean personally I like forums, I hate the posting limit of a couple hundred characters or such from more modern forms of social media. But then again I'm old enough to have grown up with such things. It is annoying however to make a new account for pretty much every place you go however.

posted a message on Unable to block a user?

Not sure if this the right place to post this but recently I've run into a guy that seems to annoy me and just post short and some what rude post all over the place. So I wanted to block them, figure be the bigger person and ignore them. Yet an error message comes up and says to send them this code if I wanted to report the bug. Doesn't exactly tell me where to report the bug to though...

posted a message on Is this forum DEAD?

I would say these forums are pretty inactive in certain area's. I mean I joined and half my post have next to no replies or views. If I post on other peoples the OP doesn't even reply. I figure a lot of people join up to the official forums because they love minecraft and then leave because they get next to no response.

Or it could be a lot of mobile users that find it too hard to type and just read.

I will also say I have found some people here rather rude and unfriendly. Some guy with like 9k post just seems to post in every single thread with as few words as possible.

posted a message on Massive frame drops and game not recognizing my graphics cards in newest 1.15 snapshot 19w42a

So I have noticed more frame drops than usual in the newest snap shot and I was unsure why as I was in a mostly empty test world working on a project. Then I noticed the F3 debug menu did not display my graphics card any more and I guess the game was running purely on the CPU.

First image with the water is on the latest snapshot and notice how it just says something like GUL vendor or render instead of Geforce GTX 1070 in the second image from a live release version of the game.

posted a message on How can I make a cheap AFK XP farm in 1.14.4?

Fish farms are by and large the easiest and most compact way to get XP any where in the world with little trouble. Other than that I would say feed a zero tick cactus/Bamboo farm into a furnace and have it store up Xp. It could always be running and when you need it you just remove the dye. Far as I know there is no limit to how much XP can back up in a single furnace but it can be fairly slow to build up if you don't have multiple going at once.

Don't have a link to an exact build right now though but they are pretty common. If you don't care about the exact amount of Xp you get they are really simple though. I tend to just have the furnace lead into a chest/double chest. When it's full of green dye and the furnace backs up you can remove it for tons of XP.

posted a message on Some Tree's won't grow without Sky access in 1.15 Snapshot 19w42a?

Well I was going to try and report the issue but I can't seem to log into the bug tracker web site. Is it the same as my normal Mojan account? Cause it says invalid log in, and when I hit forgot password or username I never get an email. Obviously the forums and game login still work...

Edit: Nm figured out I had to make another account. I would of thought it would say "account doesn't exist" or something when I asked to reset password/username if I didn't have one. Just gives you a false positive.

Well here is the report now, I hope i Did the forma right. I know a lot of bug report places are kind of picky but i couldn't find a template to follow and just did another report.

posted a message on Being asked to log in frequently in the launcher?

Okay I don't know if this is really a Java thing or not but I do play java. Lately almost every time i load up minecraft it ask me my account details despite having the "keep me logged in" button selected. Previously I had gone years without having to log in again, now it's almost every other day. Is this a bug or some kind of feature change to force people to log in more often?

posted a message on Some Tree's won't grow without Sky access in 1.15 Snapshot 19w42a?

I wasn't sure if I was supposed to post this here or in a bug report section but in the newest snap shot it seems like a lot of tree's won't grow without sky access despite having enough block light in the area and room.

I tested it out and the 2x2 variant of tree's still work as do Oak Tree's. But Jungle, Spruce, Acacia, Birch all fail to grow even with bone meal without sky light.

Have a short video I made of it here. Not sure about rules of posting such things I can remove it if it's not allowed.

posted a message on Looking to set up a delay in a Flushing Tree farm

Guess I closed my own topic? Managed to find a similar thread and an inverted falling edge detector works perfectly. Having the detector lit up with a torch, turning the torch off with the timer makes it pulse once at the start of each cycle and not the end. Thanks to the people who viewed this thread =)

posted a message on Looking to set up a delay in a Flushing Tree farm

Hey guys I've been building a pretty insane TNT tree farm and I finally got all the TNT working right but I also set up a way to flush the system with water streams from the top. The problem is I want them to flush after every blast, wait long enough for the water streams to decay and then blast again.

I have found about two stacks of 64 and one stack of 25 is enough delay for this to happen. The problem is I can't seem to find a way to send a brief pulse to the water flushing system, wait and then fire. What happens if I use a hopper clock is it's on for the full delay and then the TNT starts dropping while the water is still there.

If I feed the system with a observer it still sends out two signals, one at the start and one as the redstone signal dies. I tried piston feed tapes, but they didn't work due to the odd number of blocks. I honestly can't figure out a way to send a brief pulse and not have it pulse again when the clock turns off. If any of you guys can help it would be great.
