I purchased my ticket during the first batch at 4:30pm PST contrary to what was tweeted and has been reported that the first batch sold out in 3 secs. I got a confirmation email from Mojang for my ticket and the time stamp for the email is 6:32pm CST which is 4:32 PST and the attached pdf file, which is the actual ticket itself , has ordering info at the bottom of the ticket and says that I purchased it at "4:30pm"
Tickets were not sold out that fast because they were "pending". What happens is a person can click on the green order button and then it takes you to a screen where you fill out purchasing info. There's also a timer that tells the purchaser the have 15:00 minutes to complete their transaction or the tickets will be released to the next person for purchase. SO a lot of people just decided to go to transaction page and wait to decide if they really wanted to buy their tickets and ended up letting the timer run out. That being said if anyone still wants try to get their hands on a ticket for the last batch today should try refreshing their browser. Yes, I sat at my pc and hit "F5" to refresh my browser for 30 minutes. There were a few times when the green "Order Now" button showed and I clicked on it but I was too slow and the next page read there were no tickets available. If this happens, again refresh the page.
You will know when they're sold out when they don't have that pending message and it should read something like sold out.

NOTE: After downloading and installing the Guidebook app you will need to search within the app for "Minecon 2013" to download additional info. After you do that all the info can be accessed offline while your at Minecon FYI: Wifi might suck or even not work at OCCC.

I'm still participating, although in a different way. I only am working half day shifts, I still get to have time to walk around and check out almost everything, might miss a few panels but it isn't that bad. There are also perks for volunteering, I get to check out and be involved with behind the scenes stuff, free swag, get to attend another party for free, and who knows what other things.

I'm not giving out any other info unless it's not already mass released. The registration times were in that general Mojang sent out early this week from Lydia.

It is 100% legal. One state cannot make another state enforce its laws. I live in Mass. If I sell my tickets to Minecon, Florida can't do a thing to stop it. And Mass doesn't care because the event is in Florida. There are no federal laws on reselling tickets. So complain all you want that you can't afford to purchase tickets on Ebay and try to ruin other people's good time. I won't do that!
Ok, I can now agree with you that it's legal in the state of Massachusetts to resell a ticket BUT the state law specifically states only for face value and you need a state license to do so(see link below) . Those who sell on eBay are most likely to be selling above face value. I am aware there are no federal laws that's why I said in my previous post people should be aware of their local/state laws before reselling. When I said it's not 100% legal I meant it as a precaution to each person's individual state or local laws. It will only take one complaint from someone who got ripped off for Massachusetts to care whether or not someone broke scalping laws in that state. And when did I complain about buying tickets off eBay because I couldn't afford them? I purchased my ticket in the first batch legitimately.

Sorry to hear about your predicament first off. Mojang picked the second biggest convention hall in the United States to host Minecon 2013. I don't know if you know anything about Orange County Convention Center(OCCC) but if you go to their website and look at their floor plans you would see how huge the place is. Secondly, Vu Bui wrote about it on an update on Mojang's site saying with the size of the community it wasn't "feasible" to have more tickets being sold for Minecon. I'm thinking a lot more people that attend an event in an enclosed area will be less of an enjoyable experience.

Sorry, I usually include a reference and source for things like this. The West Building and address was provided on the EventBrite Minecon event page. You may view that information here: https://minecon.eventbrite.com/
I'm also a Minecon Agent(volunteer) for this year's Minecon Have a safe trip and see you there!

How is listing previous locations for Minecon an indicator of where a future Minecon will be? That is just simply using a pattern to guess that kind of probability and patterns do not always reoccur. Also your 2010 location is incorrect. There was no official Minecon in 2010, but a group of about 50 fans did an impromptu gathering and dubbed it "MinecraftCon 2010" This was in Bellvue, Washington (USA) NOT Sweden.
