I got in first batch, 2 tickets. Girlfriend and I are driving down from just north of Cincinnati, Ohio a few days ahead and back a few days after. 14 hour drive!
Okay so we have had a really good success with our last recruiting efforts on here. I just want to let everyone know we are still looking for members from Europe region and Asia/Australia region. We also have an insane amount of stuff going on with our community, some really cool things going on down the road.
We are recoding the cubekrowd server currently, but we are working on getting our creative world back online ASAP. Also Members+ can use /plotme home NAME to get to your plot, Guests can do a tp request, most of our members are kind enough to help getting to that location so you don't have to fly out there(That would be absurd.)
But again, we are currently upgrading the server to make it work better, so it may be a couple days before it is available to work on, and there may be a need to move your build to the new creative world as I believe the chunks of the world you built in had some weird corruption issues.
Really glad I didnt add you since you have that type of attitude. I didnt want to be rude when I declined you but you just had way too many previous issues on other servers when I googled your name and other bans, didn't want to take that risk. Have a good one
As another server owner, I thought the same thing and very nice catch.
Now why I am here, was wanting a Hexxit server and this seems like a good opportunity!
IGN: VibeRaider Age: 28 Mental Age: Depends which era my brain chose to time travel to. (Really though my range varies, but I am mostly associated with mature people 18+) Location(opt): Ohio US Ever played Hexxit? Very, very briefly. Massive interest due to GenerikB's videos. Other(opt): I am an admin for JL/CubeHamster fan server, I have my own vanilla server, I played tekkit until that server was griefed maliciously and they abandoned tekkit. I really enjoy a wide variety of gameplay and the adventuring aspect of Hexxit has really caught my interest. Thanks for the time and I like the research you do on people, leads to a well protected server.
I have been running a couple servers for personal use, and would like to continue doing so. But lately I have been wrestling with the idea of moving to a dedicated 32GB server so I can also create some other servers with different mods. I know enough to get by using FTP and Multicraft on my servers I have now, but I dunno if I am in a spot to handle a dedicated do it yourself kind of server. Is there any good resource on this and/or someone who would be willing to help me out some? I have a lot of things going through my head and I feel someone with experience would be able to help me calm it down a bit. Thank you guys!
I can go ahead and do text interviews, but I'm going to be upfront, not having a mic hurts your chances quite a bit. So you're more than welcome to do that still, I just want to be upfront. Send me a message if you're still interested in the interview and I'll get you the teamspeak address.
I have now been using Max's Hosting(Was Max's MC Hosting when I started) for 9+ months now. When I first started it was a small $5/mo 512MB SSD server for me and just a couple buddies. The server wasn't very active until about christmas time where things started really picking up. This is where we hit a little hiccup and I noticed some small amount of lag/delay happening. Max upped my memory 50% no charge and it was good.
Not long after that we started growing the server with more people and I decided to go ahead and pay for more memory and am now sitting at 1GB package, quite happily. There have been occasional hiccups, EVERY place will have this. Without even having to file a ticket, Max and crew fixed these issues, so that is pretty damned impressive. I have shopped around and tried other hosts a few times just to see what they have to offer...
To this day I am still amazed that I am receiving the best prices and the best service. I run an international server and other hosts had serious unplayable lag conditions. Not so with this host. That is HUGE.
I have been so happy I recently just bought 2 servers on an annual payment and locked in a really awesome deal they offered recently for a 4GB server so I can run FTB, which runs REALLY well, world wide. I am into 3 servers with these guys... And I have at no time shied away from giving them headaches with a LOT of support tickets in the process of getting new servers and upgrading and getting domain names setup.
I am rarely happy to put out the money I have, but for the length of time I received from them and the quality of the product they provide, I have to say I am very comfortable in a substantial investment into my server's future, and that comes at great thanks to Max and crew. There are so many horror stories I spent a TON of time researching and it has paid off.
I very much so recommend if you're looking for a server host, give Max's Hosting a chance, I would be SHOCKED if you were disappointed.
Thank you Max and Sam for all the good work and dedication and working with me.
We run our own dedicated 16GB server, it has very small hiccups and little to no lag, even for our guys in Australia. I only tolerate the small little hiccups(End of Stream DC every rare once in a while) because the price is unbeatable and enables us to do multiple servers for our community. This whole community is funded solely by me, I have a full time job and I take this minecraft server on at my own cost. I do accept donations but the only reward for them is a very nice thank you, and maybe a building surprise/statue on the server. D
Vanilla(Created Nov/2012)
This server is our primary server. We run bukkit to help with server management and such, but the gameplay is still vanilla. We have a decent amount of members and are definitely interested in adding some from Europe region and Asia/Australia as well. We have a strong North American core of players but are willing to add more if we find the right people. Definitely have interest in people with some YouTube presence, really would like to start getting more videos of our server out there and this would be an added incentive to add you, but it is NOT a requirement. This server is built on huge projects and just really making epic farm systems. You can actually see some of it in these captures. Some of the images are actually out of date now and I will be updating soon, but our website has all the images on a slider as well. We also have a DynMap running on there as well. We are very proud of our work here and our end is a one of a kind signature piece. There is no creative mode here, pure survival.
Short Video of our End
Creative (Created May/2013)
Here we run spigot and multiverse. Each member who needs to do building on this server is given a world of their own to work with. We have some really good creative builders which help get us ideas of what to build in our survival world. It is also highly useful for translating complex builds to the survival world as well.
Hexxit (Created Sept/2013)
SMP style play, more for a time buyer until 1.7 reset, but overall just a little more relaxed/fun way to play Minecraft without having to grind so much. I imagine more to come and hopefully some fun YT content!
Future Servers
We are looking to open another SMP server around September 7th. Right now the discussion is between Hexxit, FTB Unleashed, or Better Than Wolves. The race is really close between Hexxit and BTW, but the adventure options of Hexxit are really hard to deny and it seems our members are a bit more interested in that.
Rules:
No griefing or stealing. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior.
Pranking is permitted but lava and TNT are not okay. Obsidian can be used but only in sensible/sparing manners.
If you Zisteaunian prank a player, and they request help cleaning up, you have to help with clean up.
Must be able to follow directions and help with community projects. Here's the test: include bacon inside your additional information section. Extra points for making it look seemless.
You must be willing to be an active player. I don't expect you to spend your life on the server, but there are expectations of some playtime/effort. I'm not interested in being a time nazi, but our community thrives by having active members.
Must be able to use TeamSpeak/headset/mic. We require interview on this medium before accepting as a new member.
