The rules of this forum require that you have pictures of your textures in this post. It's also just recommended, because no one will download it without seeing it first.
Here's other things you should probably have, but are not technically required:
• A description of what the pack is
• Punctuation
• A title in the post
• Distinct sections for introduction, updates, screenshots, downloads, etc.
I thought it would look cool, I like the pseudo-disorganization. Any other feedback?
There's definitely a place for pseudo-disorganization, but I think the execution here is a little off. The way it's done here, it looks sloppy and unappealing, partly because it's in the context of a GUI that's very plain and rigid otherwise. It would work if the GUI appeared to be paper, and the lines were obviously hand-drawn on it.
It also doesn't help that the rest of the pack is so square and straight, which looks nice by the way. Try using slightly more contrast.
When you go to post your pack to the forum, take time to make it a complete post. You have all the time in the world. No one will be interested if there's just text and no pictures.
Im still working on it i will soon have pics and more added to it
My point is, you should wait until you can meet the requirements of the forum before posting. You have all the time in the world to format your first post and include everything that's required, because no one even knows about your pack yet. Making a first post this incomplete will give people a bad impression of your pack.
can you message me when it is complete and you said somewhere you were gonna make you pics open and close is that gonna happen?
I'll try to remember, but unfortunately it won't be for a while. I'm especially busy with school this quarter, and I've basically decided to not touch it until summer. And making the picks open and close: I'm not sure how it will be possible given the current animation system. If someone comes up with a way, or Mojang alters the animation system, I'd love to do it.
I think you need to embed the redstone a little bit more possible, and in the picture with the house with the different brick blocks, I feel that they differ too much, one looks smooth and light while the other is dark and gritty and look weird together.
If I must complain, I must say that the diamond ore looks a bit... weird. Mainly its the shape, make it look less like a big diamond turd smeared on a rock.
Also, the mossy cobble is too bright and neonish.
Some real nice creative ideas you have going on, looks a great start and twist on the Steam punk theme Its crying out for lots of animation at somepoint too
On another note, I've reported this guy here as he had uploaded my CH pack under another name claiming it was his.
I noticed looking at your banner TP name that he has listed your pack on his profile.
Thought i would let you know. The mods removed mine but I said it looks like there is others he is doing it to grrrrrr
Thank you so much! I don't know if you downloaded it, but several things are animated so far. And there's going to be lots more! I haven't had any time to work on it this quarter because my classes are pretty crazy, but I want to update this summer.
Also thanks for the warning about that guy on PM; I just reported the pack. I don't think I ever would have known about it otherwise. Maybe he'll just get banned from the site in general if he keeps it up.
But do you use Metric when working jointly with other countries? If you're doing a domestic project than Imperial is probably the way to go.
We use a combination of metric and imperial often when working with other countries, which is where conversion errors happen, leading to potentially dangerous mistakes.
Even when working domestically, imperial is never the way to go. It's clunky and confusing and only serves to slow us down. Most of the time when one of my study partners makes a simple mistake in a calculation, it's because of the imperial system.

What a drastic improvement! Keep it up.

The cobble definitely needs the most work, it looks a little too busy and chaotic.

But is anything at all in the screenshot your work? What did you actually do?

If you're not ready to make your post, then don't post. Pictures are a requirement, and will give people a good impression of your pack.

Thank you all! Once I have time to work on this again, I'll try to work on all those suggestions.
