Due to changes in my personal life I do not wish to continue the community. There will be no further development on the Super-Earth Minecraft Community.
Also the amount of hatred from former staff and banned members have pushed me onto bigger and better things in life.
I do not regret the community as a whole, I regret the amount of trust I had for the people that helped me and then continually screwed me and eventually our community.
You may try to rebuild the community on other servers or games but in the end you will never recreate Super-Earth as it was and this is the most saddening realization we will have to face.
Some achievements we made.. this is the largest PC survival topic in Minecraft forum history (both views and replies), we debuted at the first Minecon with only two other servers, we appeared in the Minecraft Documentary, at one point in beta we were the largest North American server, we held on to a top three position on Minestatus for a year in beta, and number one for almost six months (before Minestatus sold out and allowed vote boting to reign).
I will end my last public post about this with a message I received from a player on these forums.
I'm an old player of your server. I'm interested in SE 3 and what it means for Minecraft. I'm sure my word doesn't carry much weight nowadays, but I'd like to throw in my two cents regardless.
I believe that the cause of SE's earlier failures was overreaching itself. I'd love to see a return to the original Super-Earth, a nearly vanilla experience with Towny and shops. Minigames and offshoot servers aren't a way to create a consistent playerbase.
The current variety of servers feels gimmicky to me. For example, Prisontech; a server based entirely around the concept of escaping prison. I'd also suggest not to focus too heavily on structured PvP- the organic PvP that occurred in the wilderness was some of the most fun I've ever had in a video game. A good team of competent mods and gameplay that allows the sandbox to flourish is what helped you in the past, and what I believe will propel you into greatness again.
As a final note, I'd like to thank you for contributing to many of my most enjoyable experiences in video games.

You said I was unbanned several days ago yet I am still banned. Whether or not you have the time to unban me should not be the case, considering that you've unbanned players after me and they've not complained about not being able to login.

Others have not been banned for as long as you have and with recent changes to development we are having an issue seeing where you are specifically banned (in three years we've had many different banning methods). Why should you be unbanned? Long time ago, when I first started out I was just an immature 15 year old with nothing to do,but troll people and take advantage of people. Vetyver you may remember me very well.. A player who is notorious ... I never realized what my actions caused much of the staff a year ago.. I didn't know what kind of maturity I had back then. My mistakes were regrettable. Being in the most diverse community of mine crafters alike, there was a sense of family and community that would help people even when they were the most hated. I remember moderators such as diamondgirl and diablo telling me "Pokemon what's wrong? What happened?" I never seen a minecraft community be so close to their community. I annoyed the staff I have to admit with my annoyance and questions. I didn't realize the feelings of the staff and more of myself. I scammed because I was desperate for money then I xrayed because I was desperate to pay back those who I scammed. When itater was just a town assistant he found me and he was willing to give me a new reputation and start over, he gave me tips.. But my actions was a justified reason for my ban. Having high functioning aspurgers was an excuse I used on many servers I been ban on. But my disability did not affect me then, even though I told the staff about it.. I am sorry, but I was making an excuse to get the staff to treat me considerably better. I caused trouble for your staff and yourself due to the actions I have made a year ago. Since then, I been trying to find light on a new community with a better outlook. I been ban on more servers ever since not finding that perfect community. But I never forgot about this server.. It improved myself, my feelings, and made me more mature and think twice about my actions. I found a server called Duncsweb later on.. Same type of server.. Sorry if I am mentioning another server, but there's a story to it. I made friends and a town in that community. The staff was always annoyed by me, players hated me, my relationship became worse with many other people. One day the staff skyped me personally and they told me that they needed me off that server. For many reasons.. I told them to give me one more chance as I got 3 other chances.. I told them let me showed them I changed.. They gave me three months. I wrote and appeal and it's been 3 months since I have appealed to that server.. And I definitely proved them that the Pokemon they knew wasn't the same. Everytime I make a ban appeal I think long and hard.. But I am always in remberance of what Super Earth opened doors for me. It made me love the game much more and a more experienced player.. It made me a master at towny.. All sorts of things. I just want to say thank you Super Earth, for giving me the opportunity to better myself. Please consider this .. Web will come back up with new design and information within a few days.
