I usually use them to blast away netherrack for me, saves on my pick XD
I have seen Ghast being used as a way to mine/farm netherack. It is like how you can mine with the Wither boss by using a straight hallway and letting the WIther blow up all the stone while coming at you. Also I always have made a pick just for the nether so I don't lose my important pick.

Ghasts are the funnest enemies in the game, they don't need anything else attached to them.
I was thinking maybe how zombies have a small chance to drop carrots and or potatoes, Ghast could have a chance to drop fire charges or iron ingots stuff to make killing them more worth while. (Beside the fact that making healing potions are very helpful.) I also do believe they are a fun enemy to fight, they provide a challenge to the player.

Have you seen ? It's pretty friggin' epic!

    (Edit: Ninja'd!)

See for how to catch a ghast (it's in German, but you can turn on English subtitles), and for how to transport it out of the nether and into the overworld.

Yes, I have seen that video and it is very epic indeed. I like how people think in Minecraft now-a-days it isn't just your average build a house, get food, and sleep. It is very creative work people are doing these days.

Ghast tears make health potions of some sort (I forget specifics).

BUT...without ghasts there are no annoying mobs to bother you in the Nether.
True about them being annoying (Unless you have a good bow :) ) and the noise they make adds a sort of unsettling feeling to the Nether as a post said from above.

Ghast in Minecraft are not really useful they can be killed for ghast tears and gun powder but that is it! They should maybe drop armor or weapons stuff like that or give a lot more xp. All in all Ghast need more uses in Minecraft! I think Ghast were a great idea but were never changed from when they were added.

posted a message on Change Your Minecraft Name? Possibly In The Future
Hmm.... Seems like a good and bad idea. There are many pros and cons to this. Who knows what the developers will do if they do implement this, if they do they should add a fee like 5$. Adding a fee would make it so people don't change their identity ever day or so. They could also make it so you have to wait like 3 months every time you change your name.

Falling Particles is a great idea but sunflowers remind me too much of Terraria.

I support this because I love being able to do things in Minecraft without having to use third-party programs to do this. :D

Ugh, I am so sick of this zombie lag. Hope they fix it soon.

You know what I'd like? The ability to have zombie-villager-healing skills from the very start of the game. No venturing into the Nether, no potion making. I'm not sure how this might be able to work in vanilla but I could see a mod giving you a zombie-curing stick or something. Before the zombie lag drove me out of Canopy Carnage, I was using Creative mode to grab a few supplies and saving villagers who came in the hordes.

Question for the day: If the villagers were to spawn with random names, what sort of names would be appropriate? Normal human names? Weird alien names? Ancient human names, maybe (from various cultures)? I could see a village picking a specific culture and generating a bunch of names from that culture... and if villagers bred children, the children would get random names from the culture of their parents. Though maybe that's more of a mod thing.
Well I think native american names or tribal names would fit or if they just put like woodcutter and the villager would trade for a type of log or wood. Another example is blacksmiths' selling specific items like coal and iron ingots.

I give a thumbs up it is great for maps and many other different things. If the controls are to hard to use try putting them as Minecrafts controls makes it a lot easier! :Bacon:
