Forbidden topic? Maybe. So Herobrine doesn't exist, but yet we hear stories about him all the time. So what are you folks experiences with this mythical character, and what did the incident turn out to really be? For me, I opened a world up that I hadn't played in a while, and found myself standing outside my house watching my wheat field burn. I fixed the damage, and played for a bit, then the next time I opened the world, I was standing in my house with a ceiling and roof, and no exterior walls. I didn't play again for a couple of weeks, then got home from work early. My 14 year old daughter was on the main house computer ??? she has a laptop that she normally uses. She shut whatever she was doing down, and left the computer. When I opened minecraft the save date on that world was that day, I hadn't opened it in a couple weeks. So no herobrine, just a kid pranking daddy. Any similar experiences out there?
Cool ideas, I usually just open the door, and deal with it that way, but creepers make such a mess. Piston floors would work, 25 block drop so I can still collect the XP.
This might be a redstone topic, but since I don't know what answers will be put forth, I don't know if it is or not. I spawned in extreme hills +, so very few available home locations. I mined some coal from the side of a cliff, and made a home of sorts there. Since the door is back in the hill a little, there is a bit of a cave in front. Got up one morning, and there's a Zombie at the door. I started to open the door and dispatch it, but noticed that he had a creeper buddy. So I'm thinking that some sticky pistons and stone blocks could be used to suffocate things outside the door, or even a trap door and drop shoot. Suggestions anyone.
The only shelves that count are the ones on the same level as the enchanting table and the ones one level higher.
Things on top of or on the back or sides of the bookshelves aren't a problem but if you put anything between the shelves and enchanting table that stops the shelves from being counted and lowers the enchantment levels you can get.
Yes, carpet counts too, I use it to turn off my bottom row of shelves to get lower level enchantments.
You know folks, the older versions are still playable. I play 1.7.2 because of an older computer. MC edit and forge can get you close to the other features of 1.9. Just a thought.
Nice spawn, thats my first time seeing a temple spawn basically inside a messa
I put the seed into mine atlas, and it is basically the conjunction of 4 biomes. Jungle and mesa being the main ones, with river of course, and a thin strip of desert along the river.
Converted a desert temple into a base. It's a work in progress. I leveled the area in front, which was a mesa, higher than the top of the temple. In the process there was a creeper explosion that spoiled the temple entrance. I replicated in 3 times scale the tile pattern from the temple floor, and started a wheat farm.
Some people just like the old one, and by some I mean a lot... I mean we're so used to to the 1.8, and some people like the "jitter clicks". Though, I do see your point. It does reduce pvp hacking, but not all.
I didn't play much 1.8. The laptop that we bought our daughter for school is the only one that will run the newer versions, so I only get it over Christmas and spring break. But summer is coming up.
I have junk for computers, one won't do anything newer than 1.7.2 and the other runs 1.9 at around 8 fps with a render distance of 7. I routinely get eaten on 1.7.2, but have no trouble on 1.9. The render distance does nerf the spawn rate, but I find the combat system just works better for me. Strike, shield while recharging, strike again. I am liking 1.9 so far.

I think you're right, but you can shut them down in sets of 2.

Anybody getting Mojangs Minecraft chest offer? What sort of stuff is in it?

No support. Holding a bow too long doesn't break it, it does make you shake though, how about that instead.

Over confidence and complacency. It's the same in real life, when you've been at something for long enough, you just get dumb sometimes.

I'll turn 50 this year.

Creepers. If you hurt me I can deal with it, if you blow up my sheep, I get mad.
