Nov 13, 2017VermillionTwilight posted a message on MINECON Earth Mob A RevealedPosted in: News
Mob B is clearly a Manta. Which is also an ocean mob and looks considerably better. Yet here's Jeb saying "Vote for Mob A because I said so! I will not show you mobs B, C or D. I don't want you having any idea of what the other 3 are or why they're better."
On that note, Mob A is some kind of spear-fishing squid. Seeing as it "uses it's long tongue to catch and drown you" this would be the last thing most people would choose. It's ranged and underwater, so a bow won't work and a sword isn't long enough.
Mob B appears to be a Manta/Stingray. Yeah, one of these things killed the Crocodile Hunter. Crickey! It's a realistic sea creature. Assuming it has its stinger, it'll be close combat in the ocean. We already have guardians for ranged ocean combat.
Mob C appears to be some small lizard/dinosaur. Since it appears to be small, it could either be fast like baby zombies or slow as its size would denote. Probably shoots fireballs, likely spawns in Savannah.
Mob D seems to be a humanoid blaze. Without color, it's impossible to know if it's red-orange (nether), blue-white (snow biomes) or green-lime (forest biomes).

No, you can remove them by shift-right clicking the blocks to add them to your inventory as they aren't the actual stored blocks. More like a representation of the block.

I don't see any face.
I see batman though; head down, cape spread out around him in the iconic pose of the more recent batman trilogy.

Sign: "Do /ptime night and flip switch"
Keralis: "It doesn't seem to work"
andy: "Did you do /ptime night?"
Keralis: "Yeah, but I should be hearing redstone."
Me: "Doesn't look like night to me, dude. You didn't type in squat."
I also lol'd at his pronounciation of "Acacia" as "a-cha-cha".

Those potions taste better, but they still smell like crap. Can you do something about that next?

Can only use right-click in the off-hand? Wouldn't that mean you can fire a bow with your left hand while swinging a sword in your right. Come at me bro!

Ah, but that's where you're wrong! Once I have nano-armor, I feel like I've achieved my end-point. I don't feel the need to go beat the dragon; rolling in my carbon-fiber invincibility suit is enough for me. Anything after that is like the "Just one more turn" function of Civ V; you're done, per se, but you can continue. Setting up all the machines and infrastructure to get nanoarmor IS the game for me, and it's vastly different from the mining grind of vanilla.
Well, if that's what the game is TO YOU, that's your problem. You're setting the bar too low.
That's like saying that you think cake is disgusting, therefore everyone must think cake is disgusting.

Stop saying the same stuff over and over because people don't agree with you.
More so, that you're wrong. Acquiring IC2 Nano Armor is no different that Acquiring vanilla Diamond Armor. It's a piece of equipment, it doesn't roll the credits, it doesn't give you an achievement, it's not even that good; It's certainly not End-game. It's simply an extra tier of armor that trades enchantability for pre-set above average stats and high durability for low charge. It's just another machine in the mod to manage.

A nice idea. Pity the video quality and the building quality is so terrible.

RedPower2 did that. Pity it died and Eloraam was just not developer-friendly to share.
In fact, she's intentionally gone around trying to shut down any mods which even hint at RedPower functionality.

Even with the addition of mods, i'll always stick to manual mining. It's disgusting to see so many mods trying to one-up easier ways to auto-mine to the point that auto-miners these days don't even mine, they just make ores on the spot.
As for manual mining, I dig a staircase to the required level and spread out a 2x1 tunnel in each direction. Every 5-6m apart, I mine a single hole into the wall of the shaft looking for ores. If I find some, I mine the rest of the way out there, clear the vein and perform another 1x1 hole in each direction to check for more resources. If none are found, I return to the main shaft and repeat the process further down.
It takes less time than stripmining and yields a larger amount of ore per minute, while covering 3x more space. Your average vein will be 2-3 blocks wide, so holes drilled 5-6m apart will be almost guaranteed to hit a vein if there is one.

It's nice to see a pack that doesn't have the easy-mode tech mods in it. Having many of the more challenging mods that make the game worthwhile.
Just one suggestion: Chisel 2.

Well, duh.
I obviously didn't say they buy the game. I said that they CALL buying the game "premium".

People using illegal cracked copies of Minecraft call buying the game "premium".

Texture Pack content is not part of minecraft. They are user additions, like mods.
I could make a texture pack with animated circuits and laser beams; should mojang add Phasers, Nukes and Energy Shields because I made a texture pack that replaces the TNT texture with that of a nuclear bomb?

I bet you're mining under an ocean. The guardian of an ocean monument inflict that curse on you when you get close to prevent your from mining your way through the temple into the boss room. What you're seeing is the curse animation of the guardian.

Haven't heard from Glimmar in a long time. It's possible that he's simply given up on the pack, which would be exceedingly sad, and while myself and others would be willing to take up the pack and update it. He's thus far been against outside additions, changes and alternative resolution versions.

"Swamp Wood" doesn't sound particularly smart or realistic (Oak, Birch or Spruce).
"Willow" is more accurate for a swamp wood. It's also greenish and grows in swamps irl. Thus far, only Oak Trees generate in swamps, covered in vines that i'm guessing are meant to imitate Weeping Willows. It's only a small step to switch them.

Bats.
They're simply the single worst thing mojang ever added to minecraft. They spawn in small places in your walls and make the most annoying sound known to man repetitively, loudly and they never despawn. Requiring you to smash a hole in your walls to find it.
Bats drop nothing, give no XP, have no uses, and while mining in caves the little $%#ers will always fly in your face and block your pickaxe mid-mine, requiring you to mine the same block from scratch over and over. Which is a genuine nightmare if they do it while you're mining obsidian.

Camels should be just an alternative version of a llama that spawns in deserts. Just like Donkeys and Horses, or Husks and Zombies.
Scorpions, as a desert alternative/bonus to spiders in the way that husks are to zombies. Would also be affected by Bane of Arthropods enchantment, which is currently only useful against just spiders, while smite affects basically everything that's not a spider.
Deserts already have too much water in them. An oasis would only be necessary if lakes and rivers didn't generate inside deserts.

Projectile physics allow TNT and arrows to be propelled in arcs. Rather than simply pushing up lava, it would be simpler and less weird to use a new projectile entity (lava bomb), that during an "eruption" is generated and propelled from the crater similar to an arrow or explosion-propelled TNT. Where it hits, it generates 3x3 flowing lava (not source) around a Magma Block.
Additionally, the use of Magma Blocks within the crater and lining the volcano's internal structure gives a way to obtain Magma Blocks outside the nether.
With the new water+magma effects in ocean update, volcanos adjacent to the ocean would create the appearance of undersea volcanic vents.

Ordinarily, you'd use Crafttweaker or Modtweaker to add it to another mod's machine. But IC2 likes to be "special" so doesn't support either mod, instead having an undocumented method involving tearing apart the mod jar itself and writing recipe code with no guidelines to do so.
I'd recommend making a nuclear reactor if you want EU. A good MOX reactor can get you 1200+ EU/t. An average uranium one can get you 400+ EU/t and run for 5 hours before needing to be refuelled.

IC2 doesn't recognize the new "Diesel Fuel" from BC as the old "Buildcraft Fuel" that the generator can use.
IC2 is unrecognizable from the tech king it was pre-1.7. Being pulled in 3 ridiculous directions by 3 new inept developers, intent on remaking IC2 into their own different images.

Thus far, Minecraft hasn't "gone bad" yet, maybe it won't at all.
Modded Minecraft is another thing though. There are several versions that stand above the others, but overall it was 1.5 that began the downward spiral of modded minecraft. Where power creep and and constant fighting between mods resulted in the 3x3 mining tools and 3-5x ore yield we have now being the norm. While machines just keep getting cheaper and cheaper; faster and faster.
It also doesn't help that self-control is quickly disappearing in the player populace, where everyone's goal now is to do the least amount of work for the most amount of gain, to the point that people want mods that replace the player in their entirety.

C1ff, Coconuts don't exist in minecraft, let alone generate in Jungle Biomes.
In any case, this is an overelaborate way to introduce a new fruit item, since it not only requires the addition of a tree, but the tree apparently needs to change color. The more important logs and planks of said tree aren't even mentioned. Things that would be used in building more than an errant fruit.
Additionally, aside from eating the banana as-is. Crafting recipes for it aren't mentioned either. If it has none, then it's little more than a reskinned apple.
Better to have bananas drop from Jungle Leaves as apples drop from oak and dark oak trees. Perhaps, include a prerequisite that jungle leaves only drop bananas in specific (hot/tropical/beach) biomes to not supplant the apple.
Additional crafting recipes for the banana could easily include a Banana Sundae (banana + milk bucket + snowball + sugar. Recovers 7 hunger)

No, it's not just a gun. It's a trap. Since it also includes the addition of a pointless mob and the "endercharge" to make the gun.

So what you're asking for is something like this?
