posted a message on [Request] Wanting a port for a few mods that seem dead.

Title says it all. Some of these mods i really want for 1.16.4 seem to have been left behind and are gathering dust, seemingly dead. Hunger Overhaul was last updated in May of 2018, and nothing has been heard about it since. Flexible Skills Mod is still relatively new, but has been left in 1.15 since March of this year, and the creator hasn't been active since May. If anyone is working on a port or similar mod to these, or knows of a similar alternative, please let me know.

This sounds really cool. Additionally (if possible) you can put keepsake items in there, they aren't functional items, but basically pictures of them. Being it is a picture and not an actual item removes the worries for compatibility issues.

posted a message on [Request] Had a cool idea for a glory kill mechanic, any takers?

Just had this idea and figured I should share.

Right clicking a mob (and perhaps an enemy player) under 1/4 their max health with a weapon with this enchantment/modifier will immobilize both the user and the target, making this a risk vs reward mechanic if you are in a dungeon or other enemy heavy area. Preferably the player will do the move differently based on the target and the weapon used, but a generic stab through the gut (for humanoid mobs) or the head (for spiders and other non humanoid mobs) would suffice. The stab will make the enemy emit particles relevant to the boost received, different variations of the enchant/modifier will provide different bonuses. Speed potion particles flow from the enemy for the speed execution enchant, red droplets for the health restore execution enchant, etc. Execution enchants I would want most would be "Transfuse" (restore health from execution), "Rampage" (short speed increase), "Butcher" (Restores hunger), "Glorious" (provides slight speed and damage boost to friendly mobs like golems and wolves within a short radius), "Spirit Breaker" (Lowers the speed and defense of hostiles in a short radius), and "Meat Shield" (provides temporary damage reduction and deflecting arrows)

Probably a stretching this paper thin, but a config to remove/add weapons to a whitelist for being able to get these enchants would make this far more mod-friendly. I doubt anyone will want to make this, but I figured I might as well post this to see if anyone would bite. I have more ideas too, and would be willing to share those as well.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

posted a message on Requesting to have a weapons and equipment mod made, and am open to hearing estimated commission prices. Forge 1.12.2

Hello all, I am currently developing a sci-fi adventure modpack called Derelict, and I need some more items for it. most of the mods I can find don't feel 100% like the right fit

Most of the gun mods feel either out of place, don't look good, are buggy, or overpowered. Even the few I did find were not ideal. A mod that adds a large (or at least easily expandable via config or json files) variety of simple guns, with ammo capacities, fire rates, damage falloff, and variations in mechanics (burst fire, shotgun spread, bouncing bullets, bullets that set foes on fire, seeker bullets, overheating, etc.) would be ideal. Sprites wouldn't have to be fancy (or even 3d if its possible to add/change from sprites to models later on), at least something that would be animated for its firing/muzzle flash, reload, and is held like a bow whenever it is in hand.

You wouldnt even have to make the weapons, you could just make some easy to edit framework where I provide the sprites and sounds, and then create a item in the files by adding a new section defining the name, sound file, what item it needs in order to reload, weapon mechanics, falloff, damage, etc.

The lack of baubles makes it feel shallow, and I want to incentivize specialized loadouts, things like personal shields (which act like absorption hearts), Adrenaline Pump (makes you faster when you are below 4 hearts), or other unique baubles that could incentivize unique loadouts would be desirable. Even simple things like bonus damage to undead mobs, increased movement speed, extra armor points, and others would be great to have.

Deployable equipment, such as potion effect field emitters (give people within its ring/bubble the effect), a deployable barricade made up of entities (two taller ones on the sides, and one smaller one in the middle so it can be shot out of), sentry turrets (of various types such as flamethrower, tesla, normal bullets, or lasers. they would automatically target mobs in range, proximity mines, aggro sprayers (makes mobs sprayed aggro on each other), claymores, repair kits (repair allied equipment in range), medical droid (gradually heals players in its range), or Combat Drones (little tank or quadcopter like robots that follow the player around unless told to stay put, and attack any nearby hostiles with their turret, regardless if they are following you or stationary.) these equipment items are temporary and will despawn after they run out of power/time or take too much damage. some will have a place holder item will change back into the original item when it runs out of time, or some are just one use.)

Throwables like grenades, Molotov cocktails, web bombs (spawn temporary spider webs), Gravity Tether bombs (pulls mobs close to it for a short amount of time, like a magnet or harmless tiny black hole), Spore bombs (sprays out a number of spores that float in the air, and deal damage to hostiles who walk into them.), etc. would also be nice.

I am looking to commission this mod, and want to know how much this will potentially cost. Looking forward to your responses! :)

posted a message on [IDEA] Looking into making an Earthbound inspired health rework and RPG content mod, thoughts?

Hello Everyone, just wanted to see if a mod I am looking into making would have any interest. The mod would rework the health system to deplete bit by bit, to mimic the scrolling meter in earthbound, or even a new health bar in general to better fit the mechanic. It would also add a way to permanently increase your health via heart canister like items. The idea behind this health system is to not get one hit killed as easily. I will continue to add more RPG features to the mod, like items that would work well with the health system, new enemies, etc, to provide a rather unique experience. If you like my idea, tell me to post more ideas, I just want to see what interest some of my ideas gather, and if people would use them. Also, if you have any ideas on how to make the mod even better, let me know!

    -Looking forward to your responses,

    VentralRaptor24
