    Hey guys I'm struggling here. I'm trying to pick up modding but the tutorial series I'm trying to follow mentions the Minecraft Coder Pack (MCP) and I'm trying to find it for 1.7.2 but for some reason I'm having trouble finding it.

    I've tried the website some people have linked on here and there's no downloads past 1.6.4, and their old website is of no help. I checked the tweets they linked there as well and they still cleared up nothing. People have SAID it's out and others say "Just wait! they'll make it ASAP.". But all those posts are from freaking November, I just want to know where it is if it exists.

    If someone could help I'd REALLY appreciate it. Thanks!

    ok, I dont really know much about coding myself, at least nothing with java. but could there be some way for it to search for, then through, other mods' config files and gather the data that way? Even just checking to see if certain mods were installed. Like, if buildcraft is installed then it will already have the buildcraft ID in its own code and disable it.

    Issue

    I have the problem a lot of the time with mods introducing new ores. Sure, they generate fine but Sometimes i have two or more mods that generate their OWN ore, so I have say three different copper ores and they don't always work right with each other. Granted I could turn of world gen for certain mods but then i may not have access to a compatible metal. Example the Buildcraft or TConstruct Copper ores might not work at all with Metallurgy 3. (example, partially hypothetical)

    So MY proposal is that someone could make a mod that searches for any ore block that ID's as Copper, Tin, Aluminum, and any/all commonly introduced ores. It will then REPLACE these blocks with it's OWN, and make the coding open for other modders to use. So Forestry and other mods that introduce Copper will not generate their own, but can use this new default Copper instead.

    I think it's a simple fix and really worth the time to code. It'd be popular enough, trust me haha :) That and it'd make a lot more mods compatible so everyone can enjoy them together better.

    Feel free to use this idea as you please! Even use adf.ly i dont really care, just let me know if someone makes/has made it!

    Hey I'm having a bit of a problem with cellar trying to press the apples. I keep coming back and nothing is happening to the apples in the bin.
    -The presser is aligned correctly
    -The animation says it's pressing as it should
    -The bin is full of 3 bushels of apples
    -The texture has stayed the same for about 2 minecraft weeks inside the bin
    -I can't scoop anything out w/bottles, buckets or otherwise.

    I have NOT tried grapes yet, as far as i know this is just the apples. Im just confused and wondering if Im doing something wrong.

    Anyways thanks and great job with the mod! Added to my favorites. :lol:

    I think a good mod idea would be making all vanilla food items placeable like cakes.
    Maybe there could be a plate you could craft with clay balls and place down on a surface and it would work like an item frame except 3D. That way you can eat the food without it being in your inventory and it would be a nice esthetic mod for decorations on a dining room table and such. :) I dont think it would be too dificult to code, and it would be very popular with people looking for decorations.
