It seems superfluous to me to include all of the items in the inventory palette in Creative mode, particularly armour, as it is not possible to wear these items (since the character has no actual inventory, per se) and it ends up just cluttering the display pane. In addition, one does not take damage from the mobs in Creative mode. I suggest removing some of the useless items from the 'inventory' pane. This would also include some tools (eg. shears, axes) as one can spawn infinite wool/wood/whatever.

Bug report: Open doors don't allow character to pass through

    Version of Minecraft: 1.8.1

    SSP or SMP: SMP

Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Win XP + SP 3, Celeron 2.66 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Sapphire X1550 video card (256 MB)

Can you repeat this bug: repeats often

What issues does the bug Cause: Character cannot pass through open doors and gets bumped back on attempting to do so.

Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Works for wooden doors, whether single, half of a double or both sides of a double. Don't know if it works for metal doors. An open door is impassable in this condition. Reproduced using multiple doors in different locations (all on the same map) with different characters.

Might possibly be a version of the bug where breaking down a door results in a half door, i.e. perhaps the server is treating the door as a half door that is closed even though the animation shows an open full-sized door?

Occurred on a whitelisted SMP server with TNT & Creeper damage to blocks disabled, but otherwise vanilla.

Solution: May be temporarily resolved by closing the door and reopening it, or breaking it down and putting it up again. However, the problem will recur eventually, sometimes even on the next opening.

Re: bug report 'Rain goes through solid blocks'

    Version of Minecraft: 1.8.1

    SSP or SMP: SMP

Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Win XP + SP 3, Celeron 2.66 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Sapphire X1550 video card (256 MB)

Can you repeat this bug: haven't tried yet

What issues does the bug Cause: It rains through the roof of a building and through several floors below.

Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: After building a roof using wooden stair blocks (havent tried stone) with no solid blocks immediately beneath them, rain will penetrate through the roof and through several additional blocks below including wooden planks, cobblestone and dirt. Some of the blocks it penetrated were system-generated and unmodified (it penetrated into a tunnel dug under the building's basement). Obviously this means that it rains inside the entire building. Adding dirt (& possibly other solid) blocks beneath the roof and then removing them stops the rain from penetrating for a while. The fix works through several logon/logoffs and even closing the game entirely, however the problem eventually resumes (after server reset, maybe?).
This is with version 1.8.1 on a multiplayer server. The server is whitelisted and modded to prevent TNT & creepers from doing block damage, if that makes any difference, but is otherwise vanilla. The problem did not exist on the same server prior to the 1.8 update. Not sure if it applies to player constructions in SSP, but I did notice that it does -not- occur in SSP/Survival in the houses in pregenerated villages (though the roofs in those are I think composed of solid blocks, not steps).
