I think we currently have enough textures to keep coders busy for a while and a steady supply of new ones.
Currently, all we really need are a few good suggestions and testing.
We will definitely do a variety of polearms which should cover your needs to some extent.
Fair enough,
It'd be nice if your clearer for people who aren't as intelligent (me) as you,
This mod is still in the making of, and deeply requires a modder, you can check on what's happening for now, but if you know any coding language (very simple) please PM me,
CHANGELOG
UPDATE 20/01/2016: v 0.01
Made textures for Chain links, Polearms and Polearm heads
UPDATE 20/01/2016: v 0.01b
Quickly just created the Heavy chainmail
TO ADD: Item IDS for weapons and armor, Interface for armor layers
Broadsword, Longsword, Backsword, lances,
More Horsearmor variants, including Chainmail horse armor,
Add Steel / Compatability with Steel mods
ARMOR
In this mod, Armor works completely differently,
To place armor on you, you have to right click on your limb/bodypart, and there you must click on the armor piece you want to
Chain armor is now made possible, through chains
There's different types of chain armors, each with different armor ratings,
Heavy chainmail ->
Light chainmail -->
Curved chainmail
However,
Armor has been completely revamped as well,
They all have half the armor rating, and can be stacked
You can place Iron armor pieces, (which there are different forms of) (including gauntlets) on chainmail, which can also be padded, so that the slowness is negated
WEAPONS
Thought about it a bit, since this is abit medieval themed, made some weapons not common to other mods (such as Balkon's weapon mod)
For a (modded server), im using the theme: fullscare medieval warfare, and while I was picking which mods and textures to use, (for permission of course) I thought of a very simple idea to have layered armor, (similair to Fallout 4)
The way it would work would be you would right click on of the body parts of your character in the inventory, then click on a piece of armor you can use, for ex. a chainmail sleeve on an arm, then, you could pick something else that could fit over that, such as an iron gauntlet.
I have all the textures done, from full sets to individual pieces, All I need is a coder to create item ids (maybe some weapons too), and an interface
Thanks for listening,

I know this is quite a stupid question but:
Since you said it wouldn't really be very compatible with other mods, are you thinking of adding any primitive (pre-bronze age) weaponry?
Obviously nothing with iron or smelting, but clubs or slings or other mods of the sort?
Another quick thing (which was probably already mentioned)
What about Hypothermia and wool/fur armor?
I'd love to have a dead wolf head as a hat

How is that theft?
Thats copyright infringement, but its not copyrighted AND is the work of someone else

Sure,
EDIT: Would love to test it aswell

Then what do you want?
I really just want to work on armor
Take the polearms idea if you want, but give me some credit please

Alright, I looked at the post, and.. well,
You said you needed a texturer (don't know if that's still up)
I know im not a good texturer, but If I could make some base textures for that,
could you help me (or include in your mod) the layered armor (& polearm) idea?
0
Oh, I wanted to focus mostly on LAYERED ARMOR,
The polearms are just a tiny add on,
For example, placing Iron pikeman chestplates on chainmail
Yours is only working on 5 weapons, and very similair to other weaponry mods,
If anything, sure

WEAPONS
Thought about it a bit, since this is abit medieval themed, made some weapons not common to other mods (such as Balkon's weapon mod)
For ex. Customizable Polearms
- Regular pike: +2 Reach, 0.9 attack speed, 5 damage, 7 damage against mounted,
- Hooked pike: +2 Reach, 0.8 attack speed, 4 damage, 8 damage against mounted, and right clicking yanks them off
- Bladed pike / Glaive: +1 Reach, 0.7 attack speed, 6 damage, 8 damage against mounted,
.
Each polearm is made by creating a pole base, and adding a cuztomizable head to it
For example, for the Regular Pike, you need to add a pike head to the pole,
Different Heads:
- 1 cobble, 2 iron
- 1 cobble, 1 stick, 3 iron
Sorry for the low quality pictures
