A separate dark theme is very unlikely to happen because we want to avoid multiple themes, however reducing the brightness of the main theme is already on the list of things to deal with and has been since yesterday when you and others raised concerns. I certainly wasn't telling people that we're not willing to improve the theme, just that we want to avoid multiple themes, sorry if that wasn't clear!
Thanks! I want the main theme darker (more like the IPB forum's theme) too. -

Eh. I guess I can get used to it.
I don't exactly know why, but something about it just gives me a headache. I feel like the white in the middle is just a bit too bright. Dunno.
It's probably the bright colors, not just the white.
Revert the color scheme! -
Mar 31, 2014Valiec2019 posted a message on Minecraft Gets New Developer, Sells to EADid anyone notice how similar this April Fools joke is to the actual announcement when Jeb took over from Notch?Posted in: News
Here is the joke post edited to show all the changes between this April Fools joke and the announcement when Jeb took over from Notch.
Changes (bold = added,strikethrough= removed):
In light of his deep love for cats, JebNotchhas confirmed that this baby ocelot - named "Missus Puddums", cherished mascot at EA - will now be the Lead Developer for Minecraft, going forward, following the takeover of the game by gaming industry giant, Electronic Arts(better known to the community as Jeb). This gives PuddumsJebfinal say in all design decisions, though JebNotchjokingly added that he madehimher "promise to not sell hatspull rank." JebNotchcites personal time and additional projects as reasons for his stepping down, but makes it a point to say that he will still be involved in Minecraft development.
Some of the proposed changes to Mincraft include:
- "Always on" DRM, to reduce account-spoofing
- Monthly DLC packages
- Graphics enhancement, to make Minecraft more realistic
JebNotchadded that it was a "scary move, but I feel strangely confident. I guess we've worked close enough for long enough for me to feel confident about it. EAJebis exactly what Minecraft needs right now. PuddumsJebis a bit more DLC-friendlymod friendlythan I am, and we need to embrace DLCmodsmore."
PuddumsJebcommented on the situation as well, stating that she wasn't "sure when the idea came up the first time (from JebNotch), but it has been a few months now. We all knew that JebNotchwas going to work on other things after 1.8release, so it kind of seemed natural for me to 'take over'. Besides, I can clean myself while I'm working, and efficient use of time is important to us."
Puddums'Jeb'snext step is to work on the catmodAPI for Minecraft, a long-awaited feature for players and modders alike, which will be the first paid DLC for the game. She had the following to say on the API:
Missus PuddumsJens Bergenstensaid:
Until June, I will be the only developer on Minecraft, so things will have to be slow initially. But my absolute main priority now is to create a fishmodAPI DLC, because there is no way in hell I will be able to add as much fishcontentas the whole internet can do. The game needs more fishan API, so end users can obtain themthe modswithout hassle. I'm not going to do it all by myself though. We have a new programmer beginning in JuneJanuary, and we are talking to existing fishmodAPI teams, such as Bukkit-O-Fish, Minecraft Forgefish, and MinecraftCoderFisher Pack. If we can make a little money on the side from it, all the better.
She went on to add that a release for the new DLCAPIwould likely be seen no sooner than AugustMarch.
JebNotchand PuddumsJebhave collaborated on Minecraft development for over a week, and JebNotchhas expressed the utmost confidence in his collaborator's capabilities. You can contact Missus PuddumsJens Bergenstenvia Twitter.
PuddumsJebwas originally hired as EA's office mascotMojang's back-end developer, to see if real ocelots made good companions. Over time, PuddumsJebbecame increasingly involved in the development of Minecraft, and is now responsible for many well-known (and expensive) DLC packs for other gamesparts of the game. Having worked on features such as fish DLCwolves, cat fur pattern DLCpistons, and map structures (scratching postsvillages, litterboxesstrongholds, and nether dogsnether fortresses, all part of the Home Decor DLC), she now takes herhisvision of Minecraft's future forward as the official head developer of the game. Congratulations, Missus PuddumsJens Bergensten!
Also, I wasn't fooled by this post at all. This joke wasn't as good as last year's fake version. Last year's could have actually fooled me if i'd seen it on 4/1/13, before it was revealed to be fake. This one only made me laugh. - To post a comment, please login.

The download server is currently working, but may have intermittent issues. If you cannot download the mod, try again later.

You know you're a noob when you try to hug creepers.

What exactly is happening?
What Forge build are you using this in?

The non-repairability was not intended, but I may keep it (or make it need an Enderite block) for balance reasons.
I've gotten quite busy lately, but I should have some new content out sometime in September. Hint: Herbae quae Finitem illustrant.
Are you saying that Gany's end is making EndPlus crash? If so, can I have more details (forge version, any other mods) and a crash report so I can try to fix it?

It hasn't died. I've just gotten busy for a time. I think I will be able to get some new content out in September. Sorry for the long wait.
Remember, you can always access the absolute newest content on the github as it is coded (though right now that's the same content as in the current release).

I seem to have not responded to quite a lot of replies...
They are normal in the sense that they are an intended feature. However, they are still somewhat a glitch because the way I brought them back was by re-introducing the original bug that created the far lands (but only the overflow bug that glitched the terrain gen, not the other glitches that caused most of the lag).
Thanks! I also like exploring the far lands.
If you mean the graphics updating lag, it doesn't.
I agree (even though I started playing at 1.5.1)! This is why I made the mod.
If you mean the FarLands start distance config, it is not an ingame setting. It is in the "farlands.cfg" file in the config folder inside your minecraft directory.
Thanks!

Thanks! I will try to add code that removes the bedrock later on in terrain gen (overriding ATG), or if that isn't possible, make it possible to craft or build a Drop portal (toggled by a config option).

FarLands has been updated to 1.0.1!
The Far Lands world type now controls Far Lands gen in all dimensions.
It also has a minor error fix in the readme.
The download is in the OP.
Change Log:
Fixed readme calling the mod "EndPlus" in the .jar and .zip file names.
