Just wondering about a few things.
One, i've been playing on peaceful, and this weird white-faced enderman keeps popping up inside the main castle, anyone else have that problem?
And two, should I play on easy?

Hello there! It's been awhile since I've had any activity on this page, thank you for your renewed interest! It is strongly recommended that you play on at least easy, since a lot of the challanges you encounter will be mob-based. Also, excellent Slenderman reference, and I hope you don't mind me throwing a bit of Zalgo into the mix.
Um, you say in the original post its a halloween map you created for the anniversary for the nether. Why are people take this serious? Nice creepypasta though, and map looks good too.
My guess is that they're playing along. Either that, or they missed the spoiler on the original post. Either way, it's not that big a deal. Hope you enjoy the map!
That'd probably be best, but in the time since I last saw him I've moved away and I have no way of knowing if he still lives in our hometown. He apparently kept the same cell phone number, so there's that at least.
A few days ago, a friend of mine sent me an email. It had been awhile since I'd heard from him. Years in fact. The email had no subject, and the body said simply "the hollow eyes are watching me." He was a bit of a drug addict, so I didn't think much of it, until I saw the attachment. After hesitantly opening the file (running every virus check I could on it beforehand) I noticed the familiar format of a Minecraft map. I tried responding to his email, but I haven't heard anything yet.
Confused, I loaded up the map and walked around a bit. It was a huge, open nether map, unlike any I had ever seen. I'm not great at describing things like this, so I've included some screenshots below.
There's a tiny castle and below it a library filled with odd signs In the cave behind that I found a weird bedrock pedestal thing. I tried breaking the only exposed part of it, but nothing happened, and it looks like I messed up some redstone. Above is a sign saying something about a "grinning face."
This whole thing is honestly kinda creeping me out, and I'm not sure what to do about it. I've included the original file my friend sent me in hopes that someone can tell me what's going on here. The only active portal is a dead-end, and there's a single broken one near where you spawn, so I think the idea is to fix it. That's why I'm calling this a Complete the Monument map, but I'm not too sure about that even. If anyone figures this out, please contact me.
I did it. I finally did it. There was a click. He had picked up the phone.
Me: Hello? Is this name removed? Him: Who's calling? Me: Hey, name removed, it's me, Valark. I've been trying to get in contact with you for days now. How've you... how've you been? Him: Oh, hey man. Long time no see. I've been doing kinda rough, but you know how it is. Me: Hey, I actually was calling to ask you about something. Him: Yeah man, whatcha got? Me: You sent me a file last Friday. It was, well, a Minecraft map of some sort? I put it up on the internet, and people are saying some really weird th- Him: Wait, wait... hold on. Back that up. Me: I'm sorry, what? Him: What did you do? Me: I posted it on this forum, you know, for feedback and- Him: Take it down. Now. Me: What? Him: Take it down before anyone downloads it. Right now. Me: It's already been downloaded. By, like, let's see... wow, 1,002 people at last count. [Long Silence] You still there? Him: [muffled] Me: Hello? What's going on? I swept it, it's not a virus or anything. I mean, what's the problem?
Him: It's... wow, why would you... it's not... how many did you say again? Me: 1,002. name removed, whats going on here? Him: It wasn't supposed to be like this. It wasn't supposed to be like this. Me: Why did you send me the map? What is it? Him: I sent it to you to get rid of it. It was the only way to get rid of it. I'm so sorry. Forgive me. Forgive me.
Another click. The line went dead. I tried calling back, but the phone just keeps ringing, never going to voicemail. This raises more questions than answers, and I was hesitant to even post it here, but I felt that I had an obligation to let you all know that I did manage to get in contact with the map maker.

Looks awesome, I really like your background story. Also CTM maps need to be more common they're so much fun! Anyways i'll let you know what I think of it, but so far so good :happy.gif:.
Thanks! Glad to hear you're enjoying it so far. Best of luck to you!
Ok, here I go
At first i have no idea Y are you posting if its not yours, but anyway
It definitly gets !
really cool... i wont post a review in some time because i will be playing this along with other maps, because it is really long,
but for now:
+ Really good atmosphere (yes, i do like it being creepy)
+ Smart-ass ridlles, i am absolutely amazed to find this in a good game not to mention a map for minecraft
+i think story(played just a lil)
+an open world rpg... kinda
- one of the walls of signs is empty except for a few words on the bottom right, I expect this to be intended, but just in case...
Yeah, the sign thing was intentional. I thought it would be creepier that way.
Thanks for your review! It's ben kind of difficult getting reviews for this, given the backstory an all. Glad to hear you like it so far, and have fun with the rest of this map and your other reviews!

Thanks! The story doesn't really come into play much in the actual map. It's mostly just a frame for the creepiness made of more creepiness.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the map!
