I think a better idea would be to not allow posting within 24 hours of making an account. A lot of forums do this and it helps alleviate most of the repetitive topics.

I really wish people would come up with new stuff to argue about. All the update/duping/creative/survival arguments are boring.

1. Sugarcane can be planted as long as it is planted on dirt or grass. It must also be placed directly adjacent to water. A common harvesting technique is just to harvest the top two blocks and leave the bottom one still planted. It grows fast anyway.

2. Plenty of discussion on this. No need for another.

3. Duping through the use of a glitch wont get you banned.

4. Modding your xbox will get you banned if you get caught. This also applies to using 3rd party software to change other peoples maps to be played on your gamertag and xbox. When we do get "mods" we will get them as official DLC.

There is no difference between local and server multiplayer. The person who owns the world hosts it as a server either way as long as it is in online mode.

Water won't freeze if there are blocks anywhere above it. Tested it out plenty of times in my world.

On topic, it's good to see Minecraft getting recognition for being the great game it is.

No. The flowers you get from using bonemeal on a grassblock is random. Although dandelions are more common to get than roses. About 3:1.

Going around your world and harvesting flowers will get you a good amount but flowers are only renewable with bonemeal. A good mob grinder will yield chests full of bonemeal making it super easy to get flowers that way.

There's no monsters that spawn inside the walls actually. It's brighter lit than it looks.

Everytime someone asks when the update is coming they add a day to the release date. No joke. Currently the update will be out on May 25th 2099.

It's hardly something to take the guy to task over. I found the thread a refreshing change from all the usual crap that gets posted around here.

I tried dirt over lava but it doesn't melt as big of an area. It melts less than a torch that way. Actually the lava+glass surrounded by cobblestone melts a smaller area than the lava+glass surrounded by dirt. Not sure why.

I know what you mean. They are actually 2 block thick walls on those so I could trim them down a block. Not sure if it would help though.

Actually no. With the halfblocks there is no blocks for them to spawn on in that room.

The glass panels are covering blocks of lava. It was an experiment to keep the snow melted. Works great and lights up the area well. I just haven't decided to keep it in and finish the whole area or remove them.

I started it on June 13th. Finished the castle a few weeks ago.

No one said that. As far as a list goes, they'll release one when they get close to the actual update release. In the meantime you can read the PC version 1.8 update notes for a general idea of whats coming.
