Fine you wanna do a comparison? Compare all the games released by big devs compared to indie ones. Really think about it, how much shovelware and over hyped crap has been pushed out by big devs in the last couple generations? I think it's waaaaaaaay more than the bad indie games. When indie devs make a game they have to make it appealing to spread word of mouth they can't rely on advertising and brand recognition. Indie devs are saving the gaming industry because they're competing with each other for word of mouth and they're making the big devs have to rethink their practices and give people better quality, because we know what we're missing now.
Hmm, I don't know about adding this. Isn't this a good thing? I mean if you manage to get very unlucky and get bashed all the way back to 8th place, you still have a fighting chance.
It sounds like it might be fair on paper but in practice it's awful. Every time I experienced it I was about to win the race and I got knocked down several places(sometimes last place) and all the others blew by me while I was still recovering. No one should be punished for learning the game and playing well. I get that Nintendo wants to make it easier for little kids and casual players but you can't just shun your older fans who who've been playing your games for years.
It's been like 15+ years but I think it was because a group of punks were threatening him. Or he just wanted to show off.
When I was in middle school a kid brought in a gun because he was being picked on but I later heard the barrel was filled in so it didn't really work anyways.
When I was in high school someone I know brought a gun to school. The school found out and called the cops. I was tasked with smuggling it out of school and walking it to a nearby house. That walk was one of the scariest times in my life.
This was before columbine and the popularity of school shootings, thankfully.
The only problem I have with women in gaming is how some sad dudes act when they find out they aren't gaming in a sausage party anymore. I'm not just talking about the white knight syndrome I mean the overall shift in attitude. Every girl gamer I ever talked to wants to be treated equally not put on a pedestal by a bunch of creepy strangers or treated like they can't keep up with the guys. When I play a PvP game vs women they get wrecked right along with the guys.
That being said I did encounter one girl gamer who used her gender to get guys to protect her in game and in chat. I don't mean protect as if she was being harassed though I mean like defend her like she's this fragile snowflake that will melt if anyone even thinks mean things about her. Needless to say she ended up hating me and leaving games I joined. I wasn't mean though I just wouldn't give her special treatment or put up with her sad little posse.
I'm talking about how the game severely punishes anyone in first place by giving the other players a ridiculous assortment of items. Getting hit with a barrage of items right near the finish line and then finishing in last because of it is not fun it's broken. There's no reason to get better at MK.
The ridiculous hand holding in recent mario kart games. They actually punish you for playing well. It's not like other racing games where it's still reasonable either it's game breaking and unfun.
Goat and Rock sims are meant to be ironic and funny, not serious. They don't represent the indie scene they're just a product of it. You'd never see anything like them from a AAA dev though because they are controlled by their bosses and expected to churn out a certain kind of product. They aren't allowed to experiment and mess around. Indie games are innovation.

Funny that seems to say it's free to play with pay to win options.

Manly? Unless something changed since I was a kid I think you're using the wrong word. Sports and cars are considered manly, games are dorky.

Sure, if you aren't into risky and creative video games I guess you're right.

Nope they're still better than most AAA games.
