    okay i have tried to change line 6 in the "mobs" pastebin to read local s = peripheral.wrap("auto_spawner_0") and i am still getting the attempt to index ? (a nil value) at line 96. does anyone by any chance have a pastebin of a working version of this after they've made the necessary changes?

    Hello everyone,

    Amalgamation is a process where two items are combined to create something else and as the name suggests that is exactly what my mod is going to be intended to do. Have you ever had thousands of cobble stone and seemingly never enough iron, gold or diamond? I know i have. In the past there have been mods that have handled this issue in minecraft very well, however many of them were deemed to be too over powered by the community, Amalgamation is being designed to tackle this problem in a balanced and fun way.

    Main points of the mod
    • to convert any block/item into any other block/item
    • (How? You might ask. Good question. Amalgamation has, at the moment, 6 ores that are generated in the world. The one that we're going to focus on here is Mercury. Mercury is going to be used by combining it with a special liquid called Narhe to convert what Mercury you may have into your target item/block. This is where the balance for my mod comes into play. Although Mercury spawns at the same rarity of iron, you still need to actually change it into the target block/item. In mods from the past there was seemingly no limitation to the conversion of items whereas in Amalgamation Mercury will be one of the necessary elements for converting items into something else. This brings me to the point and use of Narhe. Narhe will be the liquid (for now) type of fuel used in Dodax (the Amalgamation table) along with Mercury that combines the two to form your desired item. So how do you make Narhe? Narhe is created in the Ectheleon (another machine added by Amalgamation) which requires water and any block(s) that you wish to be amalgamated into Narhe. Currently, the only source of power that the Ectheleon will accept is Naur (a fuel source added by Amalgamation). Each type of block will be "worth" so many mbs of Narhe, which will vary depending upon the rarity of the item being amalgamated into it. Narhe can be stored for future use. The Dodax will only require a supply of Narhe and Mercury to amalgamate into your desired item).

    • ore generation 100%
    • 4 new classes of tools 100%
    • (these tools are based off of Amalgamation's ores which offer a tier between iron and gold, a tier between gold and diamond, a tier above diamond and one multipurpose-it does all- tool
    • add Narhe/functions to game 80%
    • add all machines/ tables ect. 10%
    • add additional blocks 80%
    • add functions/purposes for additional blocks 0%
    • Config/Ore dictionary 100%
    • GUIs 0%
    • Bags/storage 0%
    • transport system for Narhe 0%
    • Achievements 0%
    I will be straight forward and honest some of the things listed just haven't be done or completed because i haven't gotten to them yet and some things because i do not know exactly how i intend to do those things as of yet. Until very recently i had no real experience with coding and the only exposure i had was the fact that i am the graphic artist for the Mystcraft Mod. So any suggestions, advice, ect. that anyone may have, including constructive criticism i'm all ears. I have included a video that i made a few days ago and uploaded to Youtube this morning of some of my progress. Please take a look and tell me what you all think so far.

    Razzle,

    Very cool mod! If you guys have a server where you just want to have fancy decorations this is the mod for you guys. At the very least check it out. I highly recommend it. Keep up the great work on the mod and i'm looking forward to see what's in store next.

    What i did was learned java slowly over a few years (i just never decided to jump into, you could probably learn everything i knew in a month or two) after that i set up my workspace and reviewed a few mods' code and started writing.

    Will you please add the rest of the stuff on your to do list? I love the tutorials but there's so much more i want my mod to do and i'm sure your tutorials will help a lot!

    Also, i figured out the Ore generation at different levels.

    Idea for something to add. Wood burning stove which can be used for smelting (slower than regular furnace and only burns wood), then the wood stove will need to be added to the grandfather clock to power it (if you don't use an expensive crafting recipe).

    as some of you may know i do the graphic arts for Mystcraft and i have recently submitted a desk model which was too late to be used for the mod. If anyone would like to use this model for their mod please let me know, i am giving this piece of my work away for free (obviously) to someone who asks. All i ask for in turn is credit on making the model and texture and a picture of it being used in your mod :). here is an image of the desk with texture. Thanks
