For the quest progression I am having an issue with any that require a bucket of 'something' (thus far lubricant and jet fuel). I cannot get a bucket of required material to be recognized, no matter the way I obtain it so far. I tried placing a bucket in a grinder and fractionator to get it from the source, bucketing out of a reservoir and drum and even cheating them in. Tossing the bucket on the ground and picking it up again did not work, and both of those materials cannot be placed in the world and 'bucketed up' or I would have tried that too. The detect button also seems to do nothing, any idea on how to make this work?

So sorry for the super late response. IRL I got married/honeymoon and now just trying to get back in the swing of minecraft. I'm guessing you figure it out on your own. But yes those quests crafting will be change hopefully soon.
For now any quest that you've completed and can't be recognized feel free to run some commands to force complete them.
/bq_admin edit
Toggles quest editing mode on and off. When enabled, operators will
be able to access the editing menus for quests and quest lines. Remember
to disable this before publishing packs or quests.

When I do get back into the swing of things. I'm adding new quests to run people through the advanced solar tower set ups and maybe a small reactor maybe.
Hate to break it to you, but I'm not a big fan of "quest" style modpacks... which SetGameDifficulty Reika is. I'm looking for more a sandbox modpack.

Lol its fine to each his own. I just took that small opportunity to advertise which I do zero percent of the time. And you could ignore the quest (i do, i wrote them). Its based around Rotarycraft though. Even with all the other mods in. For example, RF can only come from RoC, the only quarry is the boring machine, when ever there's an option other than Rotarycraft its disabled :D. And my other pack Adventure Awaits have RoC,ChrC, Reactorcraft, and its a sandbox featuring many other mods like Mekanism, Traincraft, TechGuns, Stargate Craft, primarily focusing on unique yet unpopular mods for example Little Maid Mob etc.
Still there are so many others so I won't promote my own. On his site he has a list of approved modpacks, https://sites.google.com/site/reikasminecraft/approved-modpacks. Also if you love a challenge and unique recipe changes I would suggest Haggle's Revolution 3 modpack which is well put together. Finally, you could always make a simple one on the curse launcher its pretty easy to make a pack using it. Goodluck, hope you find what you're looking for.

Edit : Interesting, installing Mystcraft fixed the problem ... but why ?
Sorry alittle late on this but if you didn't want to install Mystcraft all you had to do was change the gamerule. DoFireTick False, it would prevent fire on trees from spreading.The spreading of the fire oddly is what causes the crash not the rainbow trees actually being on fire. I've had this issue on one of my servers.
Hey Reika, I have to admit, I've always loved your mods. I've been thinking about setting up a new server for my gaming group, and would love to run a good modpack that included Rotary-Reactor-ElectriCraft and ChromatiCraft at the least. Can you recommend a good modpack that would include these? Have any favorites?
Also, what server base would you recommend me run it on? Stock Forge? Performance-wise, since it's mostly a private server - well, aside from the game group I belong to, don't plan to advertise it, I'm probably not going to have more than a dozen players overall and the server is a dedicated Ubuntu box with 32gb, SSD on a pretty fair uplink.
Now the problem is everything single thing works in Rotarycraft and all of the other mods except the Bevel Gear! That's it. It is stuck on Input West (orange) and Output North(yellow). I can click the buttons but the bevel doesn't alter its position graphic or performance wise it stays in that potion regardless.
Some actions I took to fix this:
Removed all the mods from the server one by one and restart the server each time (over 100 server restarts) until the only mods remaining was all Reika's mods. Still the bevel gear doesn't function right.
Then I deleted the server completed and only installed all Reika's mods only and the bevel gear worked 100% no issues.
Hypothesis: There are some mods that are changing or conflicting with the code of Rotarycraft or DragonAPI in some way that blocks the function of the bevel gear.
Now in order to save me some time. If you guys know of any mods in that modlist that's capable of such an action please let me know. I didn't report this as a bug cause as stated all the mods work.
My next action is a little long but it'll probably narrow down the problem. Going to compare the modlist to my Adventure Awaits servers with the SetGame server. Going to add the similar mods/versions to the server first. Then add the other mods slowly and see which one is interfering with the bevel gears actions.
But if you guys have suggestions. Please let me know. Thanks!

Normally I don't make suggestions but I was watching a good movie plus I recently just finished setting up all of Rotarycraft's weaponry. What about a type of weapon, that's a suspended satellite when charged sends down powerful destructive rays of energy....Well that's all I had.
Edit: Never mind answer is Chromaticraft. Just remembered a type of skill that does that. Still a machinery that looks like an actual satellite would be cool.
This was once my solo modpack but it had more mods than this release does plus I added 50+ quest (more to be added at a later date) focusing
on Rotarycraft. Think of the quests as a simple guide to accomplish a task but not a substitute for the actual Rotarycraft guide book where you will be referred to a few times throughout the quest. The easier quest will help you figure out or even tell you how torun a few machines. But as you progress the quests become simply "craft/use this item". Which then you can refer to the book for that item to gain knowledge and put what you have already learned in the past few quest to good use.
Majority of the mods in this pack have some type of interaction or relation to Rotarycraft.
For example, Tinkers Construct, Pneumaticraft, IC2, Thaumcraft, Myscraft etc. Not to mention Reika's other mods, Chromaticraft, Electricraft, Reactorcraft, Useful TnT, Geostrata, Void Monster, Expanded Restone, Cave Control and Dragon API (of course).
Plus there are a few mods that I like and felt that it would give you something to use your Rotarycraft/Chromaticraft weapons against so Aether II was added. As well as a couple of mods to lessen the grind so there's Mimicry and Advanced Solar Panels cause you will need alot of nether stars for Chromaticraft.
I wanted to do questlines for Reactorcraft and Reika did give me his say so to do so but in the end I think its best for you to read the book and understand the mod entirely and build your own reactors and avoid a copy/paste feel to it. Its an amazing mod and all you have to do is take the time to dig into it.
Next is Chromaticraft, I couldn't make questlines for this cause its not really a questline type of mod. But if you make an Achievement Book.
I laid out some tips and hints that you might find helpful atleast until the 4th row. Its nothing special just stuff you would be able to look up online yourself. I can't give anything good away otherwise it'll just defeats the purpose
A few goals to strive for: Complete all quest, compact your builds, build the endgame Reactorcraft reactor, and atleast enter the Chromaticraft dimension. Finally view all the in game achievements (press Esc/Achievements) and see can you complete them all now since you've done all the quests.
There's a few changes to be aware of when playing this pack just to increase your dependency on Rotarycraft:
Everything that's disabled has a Rotarycraft alternative just explore a bit:
RF Generation Comes from Rotarycraft ONLY!
Thermal Foundation\Expansion: All weapons/Tools, Dynamos, and Extruder are disabled
Magical Crops: Everything is disabled except mob drop seeds , dye, natural, and dirt seeds.
Enderoi: Disabled items = sterling generator, combustion generator, Dark Armor, Dark Tools, Solar Panels, farming station, enchanter
BuildCraft: Disable buildcraft quarry and all engines
Forestry: all farm blocks are disabled
ComputerCraft: Turtles disabled
AE2: disabled channels, meaning no controller required.
Jabba: diamond dolly disabled
Mimicry: obsidian recipe disabled
Extra Utilities: All generators disabled, Ender quarry, Magnum Torch, Angel Ring, all spikes,
Open Blocks: Auto Enchant Table, Auto Anvil
IC2 = nothing disabled here, I love this mod just as much as rotarycraft, have fun
Ore Generation: Thermal Foundation is the dominate
ore, All duplicate ore gen has been disabled outside special ore i.e

This time we're playing Simply Magic 1.7.10. An old yet fun all magic modpack. We're adding in decocraft 2, architecturecraft, and ztones to enchance the build aspect. Its a really lite weight pack with a decent amount of quests and a ton of exploring.

So sorry for the super late response. IRL I got married/honeymoon and now just trying to get back in the swing of minecraft. I'm guessing you figure it out on your own. But yes those quests crafting will be change hopefully soon.
For now any quest that you've completed and can't be recognized feel free to run some commands to force complete them.

Toggles quest editing mode on and off. When enabled, operators will
be able to access the editing menus for quests and quest lines. Remember
to disable this before publishing packs or quests.

Lol its fine to each his own. I just took that small opportunity to advertise which I do zero percent of the time. And you could ignore the quest (i do, i wrote them). Its based around Rotarycraft though. Even with all the other mods in. For example, RF can only come from RoC, the only quarry is the boring machine, when ever there's an option other than Rotarycraft its disabled :D. And my other pack Adventure Awaits have RoC,ChrC, Reactorcraft, and its a sandbox featuring many other mods like Mekanism, Traincraft, TechGuns, Stargate Craft, primarily focusing on unique yet unpopular mods for example Little Maid Mob etc.
Still there are so many others so I won't promote my own. On his site he has a list of approved modpacks, https://sites.google.com/site/reikasminecraft/approved-modpacks. Also if you love a challenge and unique recipe changes I would suggest Haggle's Revolution 3 modpack which is well put together. Finally, you could always make a simple one on the curse launcher its pretty easy to make a pack using it. Goodluck, hope you find what you're looking for.
