I agree. The features being added are just a bit... crazy.
Take 1.4 - bats and witches are in there for Halloween - but what about afterwards? Now we just have freaking useless bats and witches laying around being a bloody annoyance. With Notch's Scary Update everything was an all-year-round feature. Now we get permanent, annoying 'scary' features.
This clearly shows Mojang has no long term vision for their game anymore.
Welcome to videogames! Where the community gets what they asked for, and complains like a seven year old for having them stick! Logic!

Intro
Not too long before pistons were introduced in Beta 1.7, the pistons mod was widely used by redstoners. It was a revolutionary redstone mechanic that changed redstone so much, it was added to the game. I never played with the mod, but I watched a few videos. After watching some videos, I was noticing a mechanic the pistons had in the mod that was left out in their vanilla implemintation. Being able to toss entities into the air. I soon posted "Pressurized Pistons"*, which was never negativley responded too, but never got famous and sunk to the bottom of the suggestions ocean. So I've thought the idea again recently, not changing anything, but adding more to it, making it more appealing and dynamic.
Pressurized Pistons
This new redstone gizmo is the pressurized piston. It will open up new opprotunities for your cannons, elevators, piston subways, and other wimzikle contraptions we have no idea how to build. It is crafted like so:
It functions as a "powered up' piston, much more powerful, durable, and dangerous. The main function is being able to launch things in directions, just like the pistons in the old mod. Based on the level of redstone power it receives, it can toss items, sand, gravel, anvils, mobs, and players 1-8 blocks vertically(anvils only 1-4), 1-5 blocks horizontally(anvils only 1-3), and 3-12 blocks horizontally in the air(anvils 2-5). . If it pushes a block(s) it can't throw, it will push the block(s) like a normal piston, and transfer the energy to the last block that is pushed, and still cause what it touched to be effected.
That was the whole original idea, but now to add something new.
The secondary function of this new piston is that it can crush certain blocks. These certain blocks are clay, dirt, sand, gravel, leaves, soulsand, snow blocks, wool, glass, panes and cobweb. The only way it can "crush" a block is if it pushes the block against a inthrowable or incrushable block, not including the anvil, otherwise it will not push them or it will just push them like a normal piston. When it "crushes" a block, it will drop normally, except for glass, which will just break, and cobwebs, which will drop string.
The block also has different properties compared to the normal piston. It has a blast resistance of 5.0, and can only be mined with a wooden pick or stronger.
Here are some concept photos.
Here's a Banner as well.
EDIT #1: Forgot to mention horizontal momentum in the air.
EDIT #2: Added Banner

I guess we can just scrap 3 year in the waiting planned idea that could possibly open up hundreds of new modding possibilities in Minecraft. Who needs that?

Enderdragons, Zombies, Spiders, Endermen, Slimes, Magma Cubes, and SIlverfish cause the "Impact Sound"(You hear it when you fall but don't take damage) when they hit you.
Poison causes a low pitch Slime hurting sound.
Damage Potions and the Wither effect cause the extinguish sound.
Blazes and Ghasts need a combustion sound for when their fire balls hit anything.
Iron Golems, Wither Skeletons and Pigmen should stay the same since the "cracking" noise is like them smacking you with their swords.
Snow Golems, over all the snow ball sounds, should be a powdery "POOF" sound.

Why suggest if you don't want to be critisized?

Is this a sarastic suggestion?
If not, probably the most lazily done of them all. Achievements should not require negative actions. (e.g. dieing, killing a villager...)
