I agree in the case of signs, doors, buttons and such; that would make building much more cool. But I don't think sticks are really nessescary, since they don't really change anything.
    Much support!

The only thing they change is making fences, signs, fence gates, and frames craftable.

    UPDATE

I've been considering reworking the door and trapdoor textures for spruce items. They look way to similar to dark-oak items. I may possibly update the sign pictures for spruce, acacia, and dark-oak, because I forgot to show off their poles and spruce is too light.

Do you not know that you can go to the nether with only a bucket?

    However, that requires
    1. 2 buckets
    2. A lot of time
    3. A near by water source
    4. A nearby lava source

Number 4 is especially hard and the process is tedious, unlike getting 90 pieces of flint which can be done in no time and little no effort.

To be honest, I just want optimizations, such as the new lighting engine, C418's new music, improvements to mobs, improvement to dimensions, cave generation, and oceans.

This is a great idea! Using one of the cheapest and most easy to get materials to craft the most durable blocks that allows you to go to the Nether without having to find the most valuable material in the game? Perfect!

If you're not catching my cold, I'm being very sarcastic.
This is horrible. Flint is very very easy to get. Why craft it into one of the hardest materials to get in the game?

    NO SUPPORT

For one simple and obvious reason.

2 years ago, people were really anticipated for the implementations of lanterns. These lantern would behave just as your "glow sticks" would. However, that year, Notch made an announcement: He tried to implement this, but it was too laggy.

You don't have to use it if you don't want to use it, you can just take pictures the normal way.

And it doesn't need to be implemented if it can be done easily anyway.

I wonder why Mojang doesn't take legal action for this kind of stuff.

    Because they can't.

Hmm... Minecraft just added two new types of wood. I don't think Mojang should add colored wood items because there would be a lot and with all the available blocks in Minecraft we can be creative enough with stained glass, stained clay, wool and the different types of wood, right?

    Wrong.
You can't make a 2X1 compact door out of glass. You can't make a thin pole of wood out of clay. You can't make a pressure plate out of any of them. Nor can they perfectly match the other types of wood. Don't worry, 28 more items, believe it or not, it not all that much.

This would be too insane. You just basically doubled the block ID amount with decoration blocks. And do you know how much rage Mojang would get from "MY CHESTS FILL UP TO FAST CUZ I HAS TO MUCH DIFERENT WOOD KINDS" But really, you don't need 6 double chests for every wood type and all of their corresponding craftable items.

Yup, completely the games fault. The game shouldn't force you to collect and craft every single type of item even though its completely avoidable.
    /sarcasm

OK, first off, this wouldn't "double the amount of used IDs". While this idea may require a bit of tweaking to the IDs, it takes up no more IDs than all other colored items do. It's just the same IDs but with an extra data value.

And second, STOP USING THE INVENTORY ARGUMENT!
It's the most invalid argument I've ever heard in my life! Don't want 6 double chests full of wooded items? DON'T GET 6 DOUBLE CHESTS FULL OF DIFFERENT ITEMS! It's very easy to collect a single type of wood, and manage the items in your chests! I mean, just look at the biomes? How many biomes spawn more than one type of wood? 5! 5!!!! OUT OF 61 DIFFERENT BIOMES. Do you think it's not easy to manage only one type of wood now?!

Boy, you've got me fired up. I thought people would stop using that argument....

while we are at it, can we just dye wood any of the 16 colors as well?

Actually, I really prefer Mojang's idea of getting multiple wood colors from trees, rather than just dying the wood.
Besides, if we added 16 colors to this, that wood (ha ha I made a pun) give around 300 items... which I wood (ha, I did it again) find to be a little too much.

I don't like this idea AT ALL. Try to imagine people that like to use jungle wood, because is the worst wood in the game in my opinion, for useless or secondary items, like tools, ladders, item frames because the color does not change. It would be the ugliest thing EVER!

And this opposes my idea how?
    Because you dislike jungle wood?
If you hate jungle wood, don't use it. Use the other types of wood that will become even more useful when this suggestion is implemented.
Also, don't use opinions when you criticize an idea. Just because YOU hate jungle wood doesn't mean everyone else should.

There's nothing edible I can think of that looks like a bar of pure iron, and cottage cheese is definitely not grey and silvery.
