I'd like to think the nether as a post-apocalyptic area, thus making this suggestion make sense.

    Its supposed to be Hell

i wonder if Ghasts are real?

This helps my Argument. In the first and second image you can clearly see the Foliage is NOT brown. Perhaps slightly in the first photo, but it's not of amazing quality, and that looks more like a photo taken for artistic purposes.
The second photo is taken under a grey sky, but again you can see bright green foliage, and the Algae that I mentioned before.

Besides that, even the mucky 'Swamp' pictures (I'm pretty sure they're more likely Bayous than Swamps) don't represent what the Minecraft 'Swamps' look like. Comparing them, the real life ones definitely look nicer.

The minecraft swamps look like no real swamp of any description I've ever seen. I'm not saying they can't be mucky and muddy like in those images, but right now they look more festering than the Mushroom Biomes. I mean, c'mon, that makes no sense.

The minecraft swamps aren't really brown.

And if you hadn't noticed, since the :" Smoothen Biome Transitions Update " the swamps look more lush.

Swamps feel lifeless, thats the problem. they need birds, moss, bushes, large varieties of flowers, and alligators.

The water in swamps need to be thicker though.
If you noticed in the photos, you can very well see the reflections in water, this means the water is very hard to see through.

    Ok, look at these photos.

Now does that look "pretty" to you?
Maybe in a way but its not beautiful.

I'm thinking you guys want something like in Florida.

A more lively form of The Nether's Upper Void.

    No, no, it doesn't.

If you don't trust me, see the wiki for yourself.

    Thanks for support.

No, it isn't. You don't like the idea because you don't believe Notch's word, and still thinks that The Nether is below The Overworld. I bet you never dug above the upper Bedrock layer.

    Yes. Yes, nether means below.
If you want proof, search the word on a online dictionary.

The nether is meant to be a lifeless wasteland, and the only exception for life is strange, hellish creatures.

    Quote from ShadowKreach

People complain about swamps for a few main reasons. One of those is that the colours cannot be changed by a Texture Packs, meaning people who DO want something a bit greener ,Which IS more like a real Swamp. Not even the ugliest of real life swamps are as dreary as this. In fact, literally every word coming close to what this is, Mire, Bog, Bayou, Marsh, all those areas look hardly anything like this. The argument 'They look realistic' is invalid.

This is not true. Most swamps are actually very bright, beautiful, and the large amounts of freshwater mean plant life is lush and GREEN. That's right, not muddy brown, GREEN.
They're also unrealistic in the sense that they don't have anywhere near as much water as real swamps. If they did, they'd literally be seas with murkier water (Which I like, but that isn't too realistic either) and trees growing out of them, with the occasional mound of dirt, which would most likely have more trees on it.

I think that, if anything, swamps should be made as they were in an early pre-release, where they were lush and green, reminding me a lot of the Florida everglades. At the very least, they should make the grass colour as part of the Biome-Grass Gradient rather than hard lined into the game.

    Lets debate that over Jamestown...

    Herobrine never existed.
He was just a troll by Mojang.
Why can't you people understand that?

    Also, check your resources again.
He was first removed in beta 1.7 and it says removed herobrine in all the updates since. ( actually some of the updates didn't say " removed herobrine " just to uproar some players )

The idea of a player being powered up permanently just by playing more is terrible. This isn't an RPG. Enchantments are a perfect alternative. They buff players for their hard work, but can still be lost by degrading or dying with the enchanted items.

I didn't say it was infinite,
remember that every time you die in Minecraft, you lose alot of your XP

I don't think kids know what it MEANS to be mature.

But part of maturity comes from experiences. Life lessons that many don't experience until later in their lives.

Such as succesfully writing your first GLSL code.

    Quote from Domo_4760

    Pretty much.
"HURR I DON'T CUSS OR PLAY COD I'M MATURE"
I'm not calling my self mature either.
Those things (Not cussing etc,) isn't mature. Its not being an idiot.
    If that's "Mature" then..
    -10 faith in humanity

That makes since. lashing out random curse words to show yours anger when talking about simple things.
    sounds REAAAALLLL mature.

I guess I'm pretty mature. I do know what most words used by modernists today are.
