Hey guys, i'm writing a series of stories about a miner named Kent. Please read my prologue and tell me what you think, if i should keep going, or not. I already have the second part almost finished, but i want to see if people like it first.
Please, go easy, i'm only 12 and this is my first real story ive tried to finish.
The Lost Miner, Prologue
In the world of Minecraftia, there once was a miner named Kent, who had just recently gotten a new iron pickaxe, that he laced with mossy cobblestone, giving it some special properties.
One day, he was mining, and he thought he heard footsteps on the stone. Now, this miner didn’t know about the untold secrets of this world. A while later, he was mining deeper down and heard footsteps again, but no other noise. A while later, he mined out some diamond, near a lava pool, and heard footsteps, and thought he saw something move in the darkness. He finally decided to go back to the surface, inventory full; as he could get back easily because of the signs he placed. As he headed back up, he kept hearing constant noises. He was turning a corner, when something popped out! But, it was a chicken. “Wait….a chicken? This far down?” he thought. But he simply put it off. Bad idea. When he was almost to the surface, the cave ended. But, the signs kept going. He thought, “what the hell?” and turned around. He could swear he saw white, glowing eyes, but thought it was simply reflections and such.
He kept hearing creepy noises. Odd noises. Noises he’d never heard. He began to go mad, he thought. But it was just his imagination. Nothing odd, or weird was happening. He wasn’t being followed. Nothing. Heh….That’s just what he thought.
Then, gravel started falling near him, almost hitting him multiple times. He swore as if something was crawling on the ceiling of the cave, following him. Something dangerous. He fell in a small hole in the cave floor, which he thought wasn’t there before. He saw blank, white eyes, as if there was no soul to the creature. It said: “Hcton em evig!!!”, sounding familiar, but very foreign. The thing came closer. The miner tried to escape, and found small indentions in the rock, which he began to quickly climb. He scrambled out, and heard again, “Hcton em evig!!!” and ran as fast as he could. After what seemed like forever of running, he finally saw light. The surface! He made it! He swore to never go back down into that particular mine, or any cave near it, for that matter.
THE END
okay, first, get around 5 raw fish just in case. Second, find an ocelot. Be careful here, they'll run if they spot you.
Now, sneak up around 5-6 blocks away with the fish in hand. do NOT move, at all, or he'll run. If you don't move, he should start creeping towards you, slowly. remember, DONT move. when he gets within reach, give him the fish, and when you give him enough his skin will change to one of the other cats (i forget what they are besides siamese.)
Okay, so, there's a girl in my school that i really like, and i'm not sure what to do, here's some info to clear things up.
For one, she's a grade above me.
Two, i always find us locking eyes, as in, she looks at me alot, as do i her, but at the same time.
Three, one time in gym she started like, pushing me sideways, kinda playfully with her shoulder.
Although we don't talk much, we get along when we do.
So, i'm just wondering, could she maybe like me too?
Should i push my luck and ask her out?
Should i just leave her alone?
I need some help here.
...It's because people are effing idiots, that's why. i have a pitbull-blue healer, which both have a bad rep for being somewhat aggressive, and he is the sweetest dog i've ever seen. Here's an example: for one, my 3-year old cousin can SIT on him and he wont do anything, and for two, he has never bitten or even snapped at anyone.
It's all about how you treat them. I have a doberman too, and he's a very nice dog.
Most people are just too ignorant and retarded to know that it's all about how you treat them, not training. You can train a dog to sit, but spend enough time with it and be loving, and it'll love you back.
How about...hmm, i would like...How about a 'deconstruction table'...
Decon Tab. info: Well, in the beginning of the game, you know nothing about crafting except basic tools (up to stone tools, etc..) and if you put something craftable into this table, you learn the recipe.
If you put in something already known, you get the materials back. (for tools it would depend on usability left for what you got, e.g, 95% and above usage = all, 70-94% = one of the head materials and sticks, 50-69% = sticks, so on and so forth.) I think this would add some fun features, and a much larger incentive to exploring. (You would also need to find some way to get all those items to be found somehow naturally, too.)You should also be able to find recipe papers around that when used give you a random recipe, according to it's grade.
Or you could make various nuts, fruits and stuff available to be found in the wild. Like walnut trees, fruit trees and berry bushes. When you right-click the leaf that has a fruit/nut you 'pick' it and get it. Maybe make it take some time to pick it, like eating food? They could be used for both making other foods (pies, anybody?) or eating alone. And nuts are so rich in nutrients they give you a temporary boost to a certain stat when eaten!

Pokeweed- Used to enhance poisonous potions
Sumac- Used for Sumac Poison- Sumac berry x 3 + water-filled glass bottle + Pokeweed in crafting bench, throw at an area on the ground and it will hurt / poison anything that steps within a 2-block radius of impact, lasts a while.
Moonweed- Mix Moonweed x 2 + water-filled glass bottle + gold nugget at crafting bench, makes Night Potion, witch when thrown turns it to night instantly.
Fireweed-Use to make fire potions, lights an area on fire / ctaches any mobs on fire in a radius of impact.
Iceweed-Use to make ice potions, freezes water, mobs and creates snow in an area around impact.
Daybloom-same as Moonweed, but for day.
Now on to other thing's uses!
Callicarpa- Used to make Callicarpa Juice, which heals for quite a bit, and fills hunger a bit. Mix with water-filled glass bottle and 2 of these.
Huckleberries- Huckleberry pie, mix 3 wheat + 1 egg + 2 huckleberry bushels for pie. heals 1/2 heart more than cake per slice.
Strawberries- for strawberry juice,3 strawberries + water-filled bottle + 1 sugar, heals a bit of health + hunger.
Blackberries- same as strawberries
Raspberries- mix with a wooden bowl, blackberries, strawberries & blueberries to make a fruit cocktail, healing a ton of hunger.
Blueberries- Blueberry jam, mix with bread to make jellied bread, which heals more than bread. 3 bread + 1 jam jar = 3 pieces, jam = glass bottle + 3 berries+ 2 sugar
Peaches- Peach jam, same as blueberries, but the bread heals more.
Plums- just edible, fills hunger a little.
Grapes- grape juice for green, Red Wine for red. juice = glass bottle + sugar + 3 grapes, wine = 4 red grapes, glass bottle, 1 sugar, and 1 poison potion, heals full hunger bar.
Nectarines- edible, heals quite a bit of hunger.
Banana- Banan pudding, 3 bananas + 2 ugar + wooden bowl = Pudding, heals a bit of hunger.
Coconut- gather with a sword to get a coconut bowl, and put 1 coconut + sword + glass bottle (sword not consumed)
into the crafting table for juice.
Pinepple- mix with coconut juice for a pina colada. heals a lot of hunger / health.
Pears- juice
Kiwi- mix with strawberry juice for strawberry kiwi juice, heals more hunger than strawberry juice, also tastes great!
Orange- orange juice, 3 sugar + bottle + 2 oranges
Walnut- edible, temporarily increases defense.
Peanut- mix 3 + bottle for peanut butter, mix with 2 jellied breads for a PBJ, when eaten gives temp. health regen bonus.
Pistachio- edible, heals a bit of hunger and gives a slight speed boost for a while.
Cashew- Edible, makes you do slightly more damage for a while.
Well, i hope i got it all, and sorry for the horrifically long post, when i start thinking about something, i keep going. :tongue.gif:
Please consider this, i know it's alot, but it would be awesome. And of course, anything sensible would be able to be grown. (Note: plum + peach seeds doesnt equal a nectarine, it makes a nectarine tree sapling. lol.)
Y'know, there shouldn't be an age limit. just because someone's 14 doesn't mean they're any less mature than a 16 year old.

Please accept me, i am getting tired of looking for a decent server.

Why do you want to join?: I have been looking for a nice, survival server without too many rules and such, for a long time. it seems hard to come by, sadly.
I am friendly, i'm good with redstone, and i will help everybody as much as possible when they ask. I enjoy working together to survive and thrive, without plugins out the ass.
I'm also a decent builder.

It's all about how you treat them. I have a doberman too, and he's a very nice dog.
