192.168.x.x is an internal-only address, your computers behind your firewall can see each other, but the internet can't. Look up http://portforward.com/ for more info.

Neat, thanks. Ping doesn't seem to work though, and I am responding to pings on my server.

I am no programmer and haven't looked at the code in anyway, but my understanding of how the client talks to the server makes it a very non-trivial task to achieve. I could however be wrong.

I am hosting the default minecraft-server on a dedicated Linux server with 24/7 uptime availability, I just can't find any decent server software for extending it beyond the basics, any ideas?

posted a message on Dedicated Server: UDHA Serv
Just announcing http://minecraft.udhaonline.net/ is live, albeit in it's early stages of configuration. I'm very new to Minecraft, and am currently learning the tools and best practices. While I learn and improove I invite any explorers and builders to my first dedicated 24/7 server.

I have some media that I will be putting up on the site shortly, such as some isometric view snapshots of the current and future maps.

I'm looking for any feedback, and critisism is also welcome.
