Amusing mod, but I think I'd prefer a white list to a black list, simply due to the sheer number of dimensions modpacks add and how annoying it can be to hunt down the IDs.
Is there a way to reduce or disable villager auto breeding in the 1.7.10 version? We had an incident where someone put a chunk loader in a village, forgot about it, then had pretty nasty lag from the hundreds of villagers that resulted. Lots of fun raising our own kids, however.
Unless different types of wood have different and useful properties, they should just be lumped under "wood". Dyes should be usable on wood and glass, tho.
I figure that a lobster trap is a fire-and-forget type of deal, so either you frequently catch lobsters that give few hearts, or rarely trap lobsters that give many hearts.
Maybe 2 types of lobster? Normal Lobster and Fat Lobster?
@ArrogantLobster
You arrogance (and delicious flavor) will be the end of you.
Use:
Once you have an Empty Lobster Trap, you throw it in the water, and wait. The wait time should be pretty long, comparable to the grow time for wheat. This is because, like wheat, you will be away doing something else while the trap does it's thing.
The Empty Lobster Trap should require 3 deep water, and not actually be it's own block, but more like activated TNT, or a minecart. it just sits at the bottom without displacing a water block.
= Lobster Trap
Once the trap catches a lobster, you simply go down and hit it and collect the Full Lobster Trap, like how you collect a minecart now.
Once in your inventory, you just put your Full Lobster Trap in a crafting square, and you get a Lobster and an Empty Lobster Trap, similar to how you get empty buckets and a cake.
The lobster should be about the same as a fish in the amount of health you get, raw and cooked.
This way a wood knife basically doubles your chances of getting meat or leather from an animal, but you can still manage without a tool.
This would be much easier if meat and leather had different levels of quality, so bare hands might get you poor quality meat and leather, and knifes give you basic, good or fine quality. But that is a more fundamental change to the game, I leave that in the hands of Notch.
I was thinking along the lines of how you can't harvest stone without a tool. If I beat an animal to death with my bare hands, there isn't going to be as much edible meat or usable leather and if I did a swift kill. So if there were different grades of knife, when you kill an animal with one, you could get increasing amounts of meat/leather per kill.
I would also like to see each animal have it's own type of meat and leather drop.
Edit: also, make each knife do more damage, but only against harvestable animals? That way an obsidian knife might be a 1 shot kill against a pig or cow, but the zombies just groan a bit then rip your face off.
A motor block would have a reason if there was rope or gears. Without that, I do not see much reason for it. :sad.gif:
I propose a different pattern.
= redstone
= gear or wheel
like a powered minecart, this would require fuel to run. But you could pre-load it with your fuel of choice, and as long as it had a signal, it would run. if you want to get fancy and have it be able to run in 2 directions (spool rope in or out) you could have it respond to redstone like this. = motor block
Spool rope in signal
play rope out signal
no signal = no movement
both signals = no movement
redstone signals would not transmit across a motor block.
Grates
A block that can be seen through, and fluids can pass through (lava, water, anything new added later) like an air block, but will not allow the player or mobs or items to pass through.
I'm thinking a pattern like this.
= 2 grate blocks
Maybe make it look sorta like the mob spawner, minus the fire and spinning mob.
Poles.
Kinda like metal sticks.
[] [] []
[] [] = 8 poles
[] []
Use them as the hilts for iron, gold and diamond swords. If they add grates, make the wood grate burn up from fire & lava, and have the metal version be fire-proof. Use them for a fishing pole with higher durability. I'm sure there are minds out there that have many more ideas.
With colored wool, we can now make multicolored objects, like cool carpets! Or maybe tapestries, but the scale seems off for those.
Anyway! Show off you cool floor patterns!
I only just started, so my first one is kinda simple. Sorry no screen shot, I only thought of this now and this computer doesn't have MC on it.

Proposed pattern. Make the door an iron door and an iron grate to be inflammable.
