Assuming you read this anyways, they are able to sue because they filed a patent. A patent is basically the idea of something and is filed so that if someone uses something that falls under the particular patent, the owner of the patent has right to demand royalties. A royalty is basically a set sum of money in order to use the certain product, such as if you were to do a play in school, you would need to pay royalties to do a commercial production because someone else owns the play. Really the company has the right to sue any company that uses authentication methods and makes money. Though it's a very sleezy thing for them to do considering how vague the patent is in the first place.

Isn't this essentially sueing the concept of the MMO, which has been around for... oh... 20 years or so? I mean, honestly, why not just sue the Internet while you're at it.
It's authentication that they're going for. Their patent say that if there is anything that authenticates that the person is really that person and owns the product, it's their idea and the deserve compensation. So technically, they can sue pretty much the whole internet if they had the resources. -

That's the same exact thing they're suing Mojang over right now. And that's what the patent is for. I don't see what's funny about it?
Edit: According to wikipedia, they actually won that lawsuit and were awarded $388 million dollars. Again, I don't get it. -
Jul 22, 2012Tymon015223 posted a message on Lawsuit Filed Against Mojang - This Time, For Obscure PatentIt's a legitimate lawsuit. I'm not sure if this company actually owns the patent in question, but if they do then they have the right to do it. Of course I don't support this, they're just a sleezy company which wan'ts to piggyback on the ones who make money by acquiring an extremely vague patent. I don't think this lawsuit will pull through as I feel the documents for the lawsuit seem to be somewhat poorly written and has evidence that they failed to research Mojang very well other than their place of business. Of course this being said, I know nothing of legality issues, it just seems somewhat stupid for someone to have the ability exploit businesses over an idea.Posted in: News

I would assume it would, if you have a world on that number rename the files or if your saves are full just move your old world 5 to another folder until you are done with this map
Anyways are you doing this legit or with some editor?

Edit: I tried it and it looks really good, the only thing I dislike is the use of albion's pumpkins, thats it though

Well it can always include its own animator, I have seen someone make a 3D model animator for more complex models that have the same basic properties of MC monsters. Though I agree it would be hard to code but nice to have

If you are in a minecart and you want to go forward without getting out and then starting it, then chasing it, you just press it once and off your go, no more hassle

That being said, it is true that is how sandstone is made but I do not think it needs to be exactly like that, I think it should be you combine 2 pieces of sand to make 2 pieces of compressed sand then put said compressed sand into a furnace and it makes sandstone, its as simple as making glass just with an extra step. Also I made it 2 pieces of compressed sand just so its not that much of a hassle to get it and destroy a perfectly good desert
