but any change--like most of the recent ones--that reduce the option to be _creative_ by removing choices is a bad change.

How does most of the recent changes remove choices? If anything, they've been adding choices and the ability to be creative.

Well, we got quite the flame war here. I'll just give my two cents.

I honestly did not notice the mechanic until I saw these threads about it. Although considering that I did have to deal with some zombies spawning in well-lit caves while I was fighting zombies, I don't know why I didn't notice something different. It's nice that they're trying to make the game harder, but this isn't the right way to do it.

Most, if not all, attributes to the mobs should be based on the difficulty. Like this new zombie mechanic. If it gets tweaked well enough, it can be on all difficulties, but it's chances of working should be based on the difficulty level. But it shouldn't spawn zombies in well-lit areas, and the zombies should spawn some distance away from the player.

Seriously though, surviving is still not that hard. I can walk around outside at night with nothing more a stone sword and a little food and I can make it to daytime with a little less than half health. Keep in mind that I'm normally a rather cautious player. The only mobs that I actually have trouble against are Zombie Pigmen, Ghasts, and the Wither.

I've played plenty of games where you have to deal with some actually competent AI. Mostly fighting games, but sometimes FPSs, so I can attack, evade, and counter hostile mobs pretty well.

RainbowDae, you don't know what you're talking about.

    >Soupbone made nametags uncraftable

What's wrong with that? Do you expect the game to hold your hand for you? Get off the training wheels kid, and actually do something on your own. Oh, and it's "Dinnerbone", not "Soupbone".

    >they can be used to create mob armies!
As if I needed a reason to dislike the devs more.
Gotta cater to those twelve year olds and protect them from scaaawy griefers, after all they make up the majority of new Minecraft purchases; the bottom line.

Nice of you to cherrypick that argument out of all the others.
They make mobs unable to despawn. Said mobs are still hostile, even to the people that used the nametags on them.
Also, I don't know about you, but I'd be pretty annoyed to see a large amount of horses named "butt stallion", and Creepers named "exploding ****".

You are entitled to your opinion, but if you refuse to voice it in a mature, civil manner, then you should shut up.

Have you played on the EpicMinecrafter servers before? Nope.
Why do you want to join this server? Because my experience with the official servers have been... bad to say the least. I'm hoping that your server would give me a good experience.
Have you ever been banned before, and if so, why? Nope.

Loving this mod already. I've never played the original though. Anyway, I've played on the official servers, and the experience wasn't all that good. Mostly because the users are usually immature and rude. The terrible lag didn't help. The servers could use some good administration.

It's funny how you're working on this mod despite the fact that you never played Terraria. Well, since you are working on the mod, it wouldn't be a bad idea to at least give Terraria a try and consult the Terraria wiki. Can't wait for more updates.

Thanks. Hope you finish refining the battle music system.

By the way, I'm working on a Terraria music pack. I'll add support for biomes added by mods soon enough.

Nah, it's fixed. Turns out the daytime music doesn't use prefixes. That'd be something you should note.
Also, I really dislike the battle music feature, I wish I could disable it. I think the battle music should only be reserved for the bosses like the Wither and Enderdragon. Also, it should have the music resume playing if it can't find the file it's looking for.

I don't think it matters why they do it. Whether for money, fame, ect. As long as they're not hurting anyone or breaking rules, they can do whatever they want.

Because you were describing their entertainment value as terrible, and trying to use that to compare the two when really it's just your opinion?
Edit: From my experiences, Tobuscus fanboys are just as bad as Sky and PewDiePie fanboys.

What's the point you're trying to make here? You have a habit of trying to pull something irrelevant and try using it as a valid argument. And I don't see the point in trying to scold a fanboy, it's like talking to a wall. Unlike you, who I believe can be reasoned with.
    Edit:

squids suck cuz they kill ppl

In all seriousness, has a squid ever killed you in Minecraft outside of modded circumstances?
