I start making structures then remember that I suck at building original structures. After using all my TNT on destroying said structures I start making large lava and water channels and automatic smelters to pass time. When all else fails I light everything on fire and start new again lol
The new biomes rock, I spawned the first new world and found myself in a taiga, was very confused but in one, in-game, week I had a thriving mansion with a charcoal factory and with a mesa to my north I got the colored sand to create my death-traps so that they will look pretty while they kill you. New things being added are simply to expand the experience. But hey, they did one change you might really love. In the launcher you can choose which version you play in so if you have that much of a problem with Mojangs tweaks and additions, you don't even have to use them. Just play in an older version
Wow, that is awesome and will save me so many resources. I tried doing the other one but it was really slow and the signal was tricky, kept having idle carts on powered rails. Tried two carts but they constantly messed each other up. Thanks a bunch for this
I played without the enchantment and caught some treasure like a bow with unbreaking and one with a few enchantments. Also, fished up 4 junk pairs of leather boots. Can't wait for the official update
Thanks, I'll try my best with this advice. I had a track as I mentioned and it had a powered rail at the top with a button so that helped to double my storage, was asking since I plan to go deeper and extend the track. When I do that I want it to be as efficient as possible since I mine every item I see including gravel since the flint it drops is needed for arrows.
Yeah but is there any way to automate it so I put items in on spot and the minecart takes them to the top? I would just use ender chests but this world seems to have no fortresses to use for blaze powder
On my newest world I found a huge ravine with caves and an abandoned mine, lots of good resources but seems like every 20 minutes I'm going all the way back to base to drop stuff off due to a full inventory. I have a minecart track that forms a circle to speed this up but there must be a good redstone solution using different redstone things and hoppers. Any suggestions would be lovely as I am very poor at redstone and only mine it for the exp really. Thanks
I build a dirt house for my first few nights then right away start on a stone brick castle, always an indoor potato farm, basement sugar cane farm, and always a tower for my storage room. I will almost always leave my dirt house up to remember the mobs who tried and failed to kill me. On the server I destroyed it though. Once I get all that built I make a nice jungle wooden plank barn with stairs for safe cow farming. If I play alone and spawn by a village though I will lock them up and build a wall around town, farm the hell out of it and use it as a base while killing the less useful villagers until trades look good and put them in labeled stalls for trading
Like it's said this is likely your resource/texture pack. Try switching to the default. I had to search a while to find a pack that didn't make the mobs look silly or change what they were to begin with. I did like the bleach one though, made the mobs look good but the ores were
I don't stick with worlds that long since updates change the possibilities and I like keeping it new, so iron is easy to get. I'll usually have a diamond set for enchanting and wearing to the nether when it is time but in the main world I think iron is enough
Some friends and I all play on a lan server and I struck diamond and even found a nether fortress (I invaded before they were ready, they weren't pleased with my haste) but the real accomplishment noticed was my unique chicken farm.
The op put the sign up since I was next door on my pc (I didn't have a laptop and was too lazy to carry my tower over)
What do you guys think and have you made something on your server/world that over-shone your other accomplishments?
Trap them, label their houses according to their trades, wall it off, mob traps in the walls, farm until I am nearly out of iron/diamond, then leave to mine. I likely won't return from mining since a like to travel. Villages are nice but usually I act like an overlord and leave after a while
