Oh well. Thanks anyways.

May 2, 2011When I try to destroy wooden slabs, they're acting as though they were stone. They're showing a stone-like animation when breaking them, and I have to use a pickaxe to get them to drop a slab.Posted in: Legacy Support
Has this bug been seen before? Does anyone know how to fix it? etc.
Dec 10, 2010Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from Sting_Auer »I just thought of something to add to my original "control box" idea:
what if you could put 2 control boxes together to create 1 "large control box"? It would use WASD and arrow keys, or something similar.
Why would I bother? What would be the advantage over the normal box?
I'm thinking we should be able to map keys on this box, or just control unit, to certain objects (propulsion, pistons, weapons, and whatever else you can think of).
That way, you can have a cockpit, and turrets, and cranes for your ZIGs, and whatnot, all independently.

Well, airships should probably work like you would expect them to work, as should other vehicles. For example, a sleek airship should fly faster than a boxy one. Either would likely come to rest pretty quickly if you crashed it hard enough.
This requires a basic representation of drag and friction.
I'm pretty sure the current engine has neither.

...you've played Dwarf Fortress, haven't you?
Regardless, that WOULD work. However, I would just favor a hanger for my ships. Attaching them on the outside would leave them vulnerable to sudden attack by TNT cannons or what have you.

How the heck did this end up on the fourth page?
Sadly, this post would constitute a bump.

For great justice.
To launch it, just break the two blocks by the edge, and it'll be free.

Where is the block you delete.
I've decided I hate that system of drawing, and I'm not gonna post with all those smilies ever again. I have the processing resources to open GIMP and do it better there ugh...
You only need to break one of them.
No, you need to break both.
Perhaps you're thinking of the wrong drawing?
Dec 8, 2010Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from Elmach »Quote from SchizophrenicMC »That would be fairly useful for connecting a smaller ship to a mothership, methinks.
A problem is that it is not getting undone easily. You would have to destroy one block to seperate them.
Which would expand or contract one way or another when activated.
Use for locks?

TAKE OFF EVERY ZIG!
But you have to launch it somehow, though. That thing's not coming undone by itself. We need some way to expand/compress individual areas.
Also, Sting_Auer, that IS an awesome vision.

Wow, Bill was right, the official forum's full of assholes. Sometimes, I hate the internet, because if I start trolling as a newb, I'm gonna get the banhammer. But, you, trolling or not, won't, because you have seniority.
In any case, stfu and gtfo because you've stated your opinion (flimsily, if I may say so) too many times, past the point of thoughtful discussion.
Oh, and, Twi, it's because I am Boxxy, you see!
Don't worry: The people who are on your side are MORE senior.
Also: That sounds vaguely familiar, but I don't get it.
Unless it's Boxxy from Youtube.
IN which case I still don't get it.

Fun fact: You are being just as selfish as I am.
Four hundred and seventy-six people say otherwise.
Just because the numbers are there does not mean you support the idea because many people like it. You support it because YOU like it. and you are doing exactly what I was doing, fighting to have the idea put (or not put, in my case) it in the game, whether you realize that or not.
I am not going to bother continuing responding to you on the subject. In the end, my point is that arguing whether or not an idea should be put in minecraft is trivial. Let leave Notch to make the game, because he has managed to make everyone happy.
So your argument is to stop arguing?
