    Loving the mod so far!


    One thing that does bother me though; irl nuclear reactors only produce heat, which is then used to heat water to crest steam to run a turbine to run a generator. It might be interesting to set something like this up.

    Stonebound currently stacks with itself, so that, for example, a pure ardite hammer gains a stonebound bonus for each ardite part.


    Stonebound is only calculated by durability, so adding an RF source on a low durability tool does not affect the bonus.


    I was told that these were bugs, and that they were being removed soon.


    So, can anyone with authority tell me if these are features or bugs?

    Hmmm have you used the thaumatorium beforehand? Sometimes a little bit of essentia gets stuck somewhere (I'm not really sure where, because you can't see it with the goggles), and you have to attach an empty jar (or a jar with the correct essentia type, but since you can't see it, it's easier to stick with the empty) to clear it out before it works again. This seems to be somewhat new, I don't recall this happening in previous versions...

    Other than that... idk, I assume you've checked that you have the essentia, that it's all actually connected and such. You've clicked the recipe so that the blue circle light's up?

    What I always do it slap the provider directly on the thaumatorium, usually the top in the back, with an ME interface (part form, not block) and then surround the sides and top with mnemonic... er... things. It should be working with pipes now though...

    You aren't by any chance importing directly from the thaumatorium are you? Because you need a buffer chest in between...

    For the reagent system, are the links relative or absolute? (ie, can I telepose the setup without having to reset all the connections?)

    Edit: Also, does it connect though blocks? Or will I need to maintain an air space?

    Thanks for your hard work, I'm enjoying the mod very much! I'll probably enjoy it even more after I build more things, and I'm eagerly awaiting shift-click [?] being added to the thaumcraft NEI addon.

    I need to build a thaumatorium, (the automated alchemy thingy) once I get some essentia generation going; it will be fun trying to plug that into my AE system, I think. I'm still learning AE2, but it seems extremely flexible.

    On the other hand, for the multi-item thing, I get really annoyed when I shift-click the product and realize that I've just used all my silverwood making sticks. Might be nice to keep this terminal safe from that kind of mistake...

    It is not, when the [?] is shift-clicked NEI sends me a list of ingredients, and I use that list to look up and pull out items on the ME network. I have no idea how Algo does the multi-item thing, but I suspect it has something to do with the ore dictionary. I'll make a feature request for this.

    I personally prefer to have it automatically type in the search box. Maybe a config option would be good if that's possible.

    • Reaction power enhanced by Aer vis, burn time reduced by Ignis vis.

    Alumentum Compression Reactor
    • Converts large amounts of alumentum(possibly alumentum blocks) into power by extream compression.
    • Requires a strong internal gravitation field, Quantum singularity or Hungry node in a jar, placed via GUI.
    • Large internal power buffer.
    • Reaction power enhanced by Ignis vis.


    Vis Generator
    • Converts any incoming vis type into power.
    • Weak, but continuous power generation.

    Arcane Reactor, building on Tsuarok's idea.
    • Infuses potentia essentia with all vis types, burns it with solid fuel, produces power.
    • Multiblock.
    • Reaction managed by a Runic Matrix.
    • Requires 'Shield Nodes' in the multiblock structure, uses Runic shielding to contain the reaction.
    • Massive Internal buffer.
    • Pull's potentia essentia directly from ME network.
    • Will consume all vis and potentia essentia it can to increase reaction rate.
    • Goes into a cooldown period once internal buffer is filled.
    • Automatically comes out of cooldown when the internal buffer reaches a % threshold.

    Love the ideas, especially the use of a hungry node. Though having it be hungry node or singularity will likely lead to predominantly singularity use, since it requires only a little while running a cobblestone generator using an annihilation plane to get one, while getting a hungry node can be quite challenging (even finding one is tough).

    I'd like to see a released hungry node in the multiblock reactor too. Because hungry nodes are awesome. And it helps justify the runic shielding.

    I didn't think you could make this mod even more awesome; I was wrong.


    Oh, since we have certus quartz doubling, have you considered doing nether quartz too?

    The problem persisted for about 2 days, and then vanished... no idea what was going on, but I can't get it to happen again. I may have updated a different mod in that period, so something else may have caused it.

    Or maybe some sort of modular multiblock reactor that burns alumentum to heat essentia energized by CV would be pretty amazing. Sort of bringing it all together and making it scalable to fit the needs and budgets of a variety of playstyles.

    You could have a small starting furnace that burns whatever for 10AE/t, alumentum for 20(?) AE/t. Then, once alchemy stuff is unlocked, a block that improves efficiency(slowing the burn time with same energy output) using essentia, and another using CV when that is unlocked, that might increase output at the expense of burn time. They could be modular in the multiblock, so that you could balance efficiency and output to suit your needs.

    So, say, 4 of the alumentum modules would simply burn through 4x the alumentum and produce 4x power. Adding the essentia system would slow the burn rate, so that you go through less alumentum (important if the furnace only stores one stack, though I suppose you could have it store more), while CV modules would vastly increase output, but also burn rate.

    Or something.

    I'm not sure if anyone else experiences this, but since updating to 0.8.2b, the ACT has had a graphical bug in which the output doesn't update until you pull the first item out of it. For example, when making nether quartz blocks, I put the items in the grid, and the output remains blank. The item crafts up just fine, I just have to click the blank space and the nether quartz appears. Then I made arcane stone bricks, and the output stayed as nether quartz blocks until I grabbed the first one. Certainly not game breaking, though a bit confusing at first.

    Also, just a thought about power, isn't alumentum basically considered the magical power supply? I have 40ish AE generators running on the stuff. If you do add a power system, I think it would be a good idea to continue with alumentum, with maybe perditio, ordo, and ignis CV increasing maximum power (because, like I said, I have 40 AE generators, and I don't even have a singularity up and running, which would require 20 more I think). I don't mind if it's expensive, but if I didn't have ender storage installed, feeding all of those things would be a nightmare.

    Also, I don't know if you've seen it, but DjGiannuzz has released an NEI addon for thaumcraft. One of the features is that only unlocked recipes appear, which sort of made me think about your previous comments about an arcane assembler. Maybe something in that code might inspire a solution? Just a thought.

    Cool build. You can achieve a similar effect with only AE by using a subnet, using only 2 channels (1 if you use ender storage ender chests).
