I'd like to open up this pack to communal contribution as I don't have time to work on it entirely on my own anymore. I'm dropping the pallet images I used here, just post any contributions to this thread.
For Linux users having trouble with this mod: it's not very compatible with OpenJRE and in most cases will just crash. Seems to work well with Oracle's JRE though. So, solved in my case.
it works lovely for me.
if u r having trouble (and using mcpatcher) repack the contents of the /classes folder into a zip and try - that works for me
otherwise (and here i risk sounding condescending)
:
-get fresh .minecraft - not just the jar, the whole thing. re-download it from the .exe (and back your old one up)
(so delete or move .minecraft and run the exe again to get it to download/generate a fresh copy)
-delete meta-inf
-install modloader
-run minecraft once
drop the contents of the /classes folder (not the whole download and not the folder itself, just everything that's in the folder)
-run minecraft again
if you do/have done all that properly it will work. gl
That's what I did, in that order. Fresh install and all. It just crashes.
Doesn't appear to work in 1.2.5. Followed directions exactly on a fresh install and Minecraft crashes every time. Here is the error:

Please update this to 1.8 it is a great underated pack it's better than half of the **** on here with all the simple packs and all please update.
Thank you.
Basically I'm waiting until after Minecon, then I plan to work on this again. I want to update a bunch of stuff at once in it and also take care of some of the textures that are bugging me (the gravel and tall grass are terrible) and provide some requested alternatives to certain textures at that time as well.
No, I mean The ores will look weird when next to regular stone. The actual ore parts are broken up. For ore textures, IMO, it's better if the ore parts aren't tiling from one side of the texture to the other.
If you know what I mean?
Ahh, I get what you're saying. I agree actually. I'll change it for the defaults, it won't tile as nicely next to other ore, but the trade off is worth it. It'll probably be up later today as long as it doesn't give me too much trouble.
For people that want the old version I'll leave it up on Customizer.
EDIT: It was easier than I thought. The version that doesn't tile from one side to the other is now up and it's the default.
This looks absolutely amazing so far man. Very professional.
I don't really like the ores though. I would go more for the look the default texture pack has.
Thanks!
Do you mean like more roughly shaped or something else?
First, I think that the furnance, dispenser and pistons could use a bit more work to distinguish them from cobblestone. One idea I have for this is ton make the cracks darker in cobble, but keep them the same brightness in the aforementioned devices. (assuming it fits in with the color limit)
Also, the top and bottom halves of the furnace/dispenser would look better with either more differentiation, or no gap/texture change at all.
I'll make some alternate versions of them sometime soon. My reasoning for the way they currently look though was to keep it fairly faithful to the original textures in overall design, so that the texture pack doesn't conflict with people's existing worlds too much.
Wish I had access to an easy way to let people pick and choose the versions they want for each tile, because some of the tiles already have three or four variations sitting on my computer.

Good thing he didn't insult anyone then, I guess.

If it works for you, great. It doesn't work for everyone.
That's what I did, in that order. Fresh install and all. It just crashes.

Glad I could give you something to look forward to! :biggrin.gif:
Let me know if anything seems odd or in need of a revamp, if you get the chance. :smile.gif:
