I'm a bit suspicious of this video as to the following reasons;
1; You just so happened to be filming?
2; You carried no items the whole trip.
3; You spent ten seconds obviously trying to look like you where trying to do something.
4; That hole is rather convenient, as too your descent into it.
All in all I must express my doubt that this really is a "fail", and isn't just yourself vying for attention.

If you don't mind losing those, if you have any, at the Minecraft Launch, go to options and click "Force Update" to download a fresh copy of Minecraft.
