My first 2 worlds I found staircases down and died in both world and on the third world I only found staircases up with unbrekable rocks.
Its a fun game to play for a while, I would have probably played more if I had found stairs to dungeons.

Where's the poll?
Endermen rolls of the tongue easier, but it's up to notch. I care more about how they play.

The DRM we all hated so much was removed:

We have item frames already, now I suggest we are also able to place them on the ground. What I believe this would be most useful for is placing maps on tables, but why limit it to maps, you may place any item or block on a table now!
The recipe to the item would remain unchanged, and to place it you'd just have to right click the ground as you would usually do with other blocks.

That is my point, the dimensions, indeed 3x3x3 or 5x5x5 would be much more appropriate.

I know, the image sucks but you get the point.
Anyways, if you're suggesting this to balance the "minecart with chest" storage and sea travel, I really believe there's no need, your inventory is good enough... If you want to keep going though, this isn't the best solution, as this would be immensely overpowered, allowing you to store 6912 stacks of items in a SINGLE boat, if that isn't OP, I don't know what it.

Assuming that these "shakes" are almost instantaneous like, for example, egg throwing, this means that every ~2 seconds you're getting 5/100 chance of a gold nugget... Do this for 40 seconds and you get 100/100 chance. This, in multiplayer, would also ruin the economy of many servers... Whoever has the most time to spend in a 1x1 water block is the richest.

1) Manually drawing paths onto the map.
2) A visual indicator (dots, maybe) of the direction of the trail on the screen when the trail map is in your inventory.
(Something like this)

Yeah, it's also one of the most annoying ways to die in real life, I guess.

You may want to try skins:)

I partly disagree with the redstone part though and believe this improvement would make more sense:
Make it a matter of the power level of the redstone signal.
Why do you think it would take Mojang lots of time to create this?
We have ladders, which are the essential part, we have redstone components for the redstone part, and we have soul sand which is used to decrease the speed of players, now we put them all together and voila!
