This mod is greatly missed. It's simple, functional, and unique with no other mod even attempting to do anything similar.(as far as I know.)
Are you still going to update this? It doesn't matter if it's soon or not, I just want to know if I'm waiting in vain.
It works for me? install TSM after optifine and it should work.
The jungle tree/sappling and red/yellow flowers are all mixed up, even without optifine.
install order seems to have no effect. The grass and leaves are not changing color during fall, except for birch and swamp colors.
items in inventory still show correctly.

I've had an idea for an extention/addon to your spawner API.
Could you add the ability to change items held and dropped, if the mob is passive or not, spawn light level, as well as adjust spawn rate, time between spawns, number spawned, and a cut off amount? (number of times to spawn before it stops) in short, mob customization through the spawner.
I feel this could a huge amount of depth to mobs, I hope this isn't to much to ask for.

The first one is camo redstone fence, for powering street lamps and or making table triggers/traps.
Second is a camo version of other types of blocks Stairs, Half slabs, plain fences/fence gates, ect.
This would give the a variety of decoration options, similar to the old better blocks mod, but with fewer block ids taken.

It would then be perfect for an adventure map I'm working on.
