Good idea, but i doubt i'll play adventure mode, survival is the way for me!

Survival mode is good, it is just it doesn't have any point to me. They aren't actually trying to kill you if you are in your house/castle/fort. Thats why I think adventure mode could work really well because it has a point to playing it. (I hope...)

First off, I'm very excited for adventure mode. But thinking it over I'm seeing some problems with it. First off, basically (from what I know) adventure mode is just like survival mode just no forging and the objective is to find treasure and stuff. Thats great, but I think there may be some issues with it.

I think there will have to be a level of forging. You will be needing swords, and torches to go through caves. Unless you have a sword with unlimited durability and the caves are already pre lite. But I think I have a better solution for this. I feel that there should be a barter system, where you trade (some kind of currency, we'll just say gold coins for now) for swords, torchs, what ever you need from Ai traders. But they won't be just randomly placed. I also think it would be a good idea to spawn in a little village, in your little house. Outside there will be a few shops and some other peoples houses possibly (all ai houses). (There could also be a beginner cave/adventure in a houses basement as well) This idea could also work in multiplayer modes where two human players want to trade.

But as good as adventure would be, there would be no point to it. What good adventure has no point to it? So I'm thinking that when you start a game, an ai comes and tells you (or something along these lines) a bit of what happened. An Evil Ice ruler took control of the land and you need to find 4 fire stones to defeat him, or a princess is locked in a castle and you need to get all the keys to unlock it, stuff like this. This would give the adventure a purpose, and reason to go to the countless caves to find the stuff.

Doing this would be great, but going through cave after cave would get repetitive. So I'm suggesting that instead of just randomly generated caves, that there should be more or less randomly generated castles to explore(could be ice castles, or normal castles) a mountain to climb to get you to a floating island. This would make your adventure a lot more fun. Then even make the caves more excited by adding a river ride(for lack of better terms) to get from point A to point B, make an air vent to lift you higher up into the cave to get to an other area. Or maybe an abandoned mine track to ride on. Then in each dungeon/adventure area, at the end there should probably be a boss enemy, a fairly massive beast to combat to get the object your looking for.

After you save the day, you can then save and restart. Get a new adventure going or you can keep playing and do side adventures and look for treasure and stuff.

These are just my thoughts as to what adventure mode should more or less look like, and how to make it fun and keep wanting to come back to play it. Thanks for reading Torch.

If you have any other ideas to add on, feel free to comment.
