    I'm a little late to the discussion, but I just had to mention that Terrafirmacraft does add functional genders to vanilla mobs and does so rather nicely. Male cows have little horns and no utters, male sheep have cool little horns as well, and male chickens are really neat looking roosters. Give it a look! Mobs with genders are an excellent idea to distinguish a creature mod from the competition.


    yes, i love TFcraft, wonderful total conversion mod, i still hold out hope that one day it'll be useable with the rest of minecraft modding, but until then it's sadly no use to me, fun once in a while though.

    because ae2 was draining so much energy (is fixed now) i was building everything big .... i mean masifly big like 2500 solarpanels,500mfe as batterypack im fixing the test map and slowly its going well. the lag and big cpu usage was energy information of ic2 that cant deal with such a massif build that needed to fill up. now im shrinking and moving ic2 energy and its starting to be much better . soon i gona do an update round of the mods


    well that's more or less the point of mods like compact solars (probably advanced solars as well, not sure off the top of my head) and compact windmills and the like, at some point adding more and more solar panels that are all checking for the sky visible above them reaches a point where it's no longer friendly to performance of the server or client, so that way you drastically reduce the amount of checks for validity by having one block function like 8 would.

    that modifier was actually removed in favor of thermal expansion RF upgrade providing similar functionality.

    could also try reading the instructions the author of treecapitator gives in his thread, basically instead of a list of IDs it's along the lines of making a list of localized wood block names.

    so i gues ic2 also have issues lols well need to make new test map for sure now ... looking forward for youre update


    do yourself and your minecraft a favor and google and install compact solars addon for ic2 :P

    yeah i noted that this map is terribly forgetful in underground mode too as well as horrible on the frame rate, it may although be a misguided attempt to force a visibility radius, but i think that would be giving too much credit, only real solution is to give up on open source and half complete mods, i'm ditching this one when i update to 1.7, that's for sure.
