Yes, you can bring anything in to the convention center, even full costumes.
There is no security or bag check. You get a poster when you pick up your badge and some people use that for autographs. Autograph lines are long 45-60m to get an autograph of picture. Bring your own pen!
I really am digging this server. This is a Faction, mcmmo, and no pay to win! So many otherwise great servers are not fun for me when donators can /kit diamond prot V gear every 24 hours. This could be your new home, too!
I'm loving this server so far as I'm not seeing any lag, yet there is enough detail in the main spawn town "Crossroads" .
Pretty neat way to show detail with the right mix of stairs, buildings and hills to limit render distance so even my slow computer can render these pretty scenes without lag:
I just started playing on The Shambles (looks like it launched just a few hours ago) and really like it. I had no lag connecting from CA.
What I really like is the mix between Towny and PVP in the wilderness. Factions are fun if you are active and belong to a large faction. This server seems like it will be great fun for smaller PVP either 1-on-1 or small groups, especially with HeroBounty. Imagine the fun setting a large bounty on one of your allies as bait and then killing the bounty hunters. Mixing of PVE and PVP in the same world without requiring a hub and separate worlds is great. I really like this balance.
I also like servers that you can just jump in with a relatively short walk between spawn point, rules, shops, and the spawn town or hub. I've tried some "massive" servers and it takes forever just to get oriented. This server you're in the action pretty quickly.
Finally, I'd also mention that starting out with food and a map is perfect. I personally am not a big fan of kit servers where you start with uber gear and that takes the fun away. I like to build in survival and earn it. Like Miley Cyrus said "It's the climb" that is the most enjoyable.
