I never liked to see Celestia as a troll or mean pony, but as a motherly figure, looking out for her subjects. I think her love for her subjects is what caused her to be defeated. Remember what Cadence said, the changelings feed off of your love for somebody. Just an idea though.
Speaking of Celestia, have a drawing.
Originally I was going to draw as many ponies as I could fit on here and caption it "Everypony is best pony", but I drew the princess' too big, and Twilight too small, so it became filly twilight with Luna and Celestia.
I feel like I haven't posted here in so long, even though I've been wanting to for quite a while.
I watched the finale, thoughts will be later though. Art comes first.
I counted how many drawings I have, and even though I claim to not be obsessed with ponies, I have 44 pages of drawings (not including my sketch book). Keep in mind that some (around half, give or take) of the drawings are either half-drawn, rushed, or in some other way not complete.
Now for drawings. I haven't scanned in many of my drawings, so this will just be some drawings I posted earlier that got skipped over, and a couple drawings that I hadn't scanned before.
Wyny (pronounced "whiney") is a wyvern-like pony. I drew her when someone suggested that a pony be drawn with wings in front.
And flying.
And a while ago the topic was your state/city ponified, so I took the liberty to draw my own state.
You all get one guess what state I live in .
Kansas is the correct answer. Sunflower as her CM because Kansas is the "Sunflower State" and pegasus because Kansas makes airplanes .
And now for one I've had lying around that hadn't been scanned into my computer yet.
My group, in front is Iron Spear, behind him is Swift Sword, and then Golden Light is in the back. As you probably see, originally I was going to have them be fighting Discord, but I can't draw him at all. I could try drawing him, or I could draw another villain.
Episode thoughts.
The finale was amazing. It just went by too quickly for me, felt like I only watched one episode instead of an epic two-parter. We got to see Luna again, even though it wasn't for too long, and Cadence seemed pretty nice. Shining Armor also seemed nice, and even though they both came out of nowhere, I like their addition to the series. The fight scene between the mane 6 and the changlings was awesome, and while I expected the mean Cadence to be an imposter, I didn't foresee her being the queen of an evil race. So much more I would like to add, but that will be for later.
And for the MLP:FiM movie topic, I don't know what I would want a MLP movie to be like. Hopefully keep the same principles as the show, but have a clear, overwhelming goal. And a villain, stuff needs villains. But only if they're a good villain, like the changelings. I'll let the creative minds decide what the villains should be.
Hmm... Can you explain why? (And yes, I asked the meat topic.)
Well, from what we've seen they don't have TV, so they wouldn't understand that concept (I wouldn't think so, anyway), and telling someone that you know everything about them is not a good way to earn their trust, which I would like to have. And just maybe if you don't know everything about them, they might tell you more about themselves ("If you know everything about me, why should I tell you anything") There are probably loads more things I could come up with, but those require thinking and I would have to go to bed. 'Night everybody.
But let's change the topic back to real things, like colorful ponies.

Earlier, someone (I think it was Blazevoir) brought up the topic of meeting a pony in real life and explaining how and why you ate meat. But even before explaining why you ate meat, how would you explain how you knew about them (if you decided that you wanted to share that you knew about them). You're telling then that they come from a TV show that several people your age watched and enjoyed.
I personally wouldn't share that I know about them. I would pretend to be clueless, personally.
Good. MrBossMan is back, and you had me fooled for a while. But that goggles dash is extremely awesome, so you are forgiven.
And I haven't drawn anything in a while. I just don't seem to have any good ideas. Usually I can draw something or at least have an idea for what to draw, but I'm at a loss now. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? I'm not the best at drawing but if anyone has something that they would like to be drawn I can probably get it drawn.
Soooo cliche... But then again, all shows have to do cliches. It's the unique spin they put on it that makes them interesting.
I'm hoping this will be interesting. I hate the CMC--their only good episode was Stare Master.
I don't really get why everybody seems to dislike the CMC (other than their bad singing - but that was a one-time thing). Personally, I think they're okay. They are a bit annoying, but I can forgive them for that. (But Stare Master was a good episode.)
And I rewatched the Ticket Master (or whatever season 1's episode 3 was) and noticed that Rarity says that Blueblood is Celestia's nephew. But only now that we have

I have no idea how royalty works at all, but why is he called "Prince" Blueblood if he's Celestia's nephew. I thought that the prince was the son of the King and Queen?
I have drawings that I'll scan in and post later. I'm attempting a very odd crossover/crossing of two or more genres/books/whatevers - Leviathan (the book, it's a good one too, I suggest it to anyone who hasn't read it). I'll post pictures of that when I've drawn some good ones.
Oh yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Spitfire should be well aware that she needs this water just as much as anyone else. Why can't she do it?
For that matter, why not the duck that showed up with Fluttershy for moral support? It has wings. Maybe there's some sort of pegasus magic involved.
Also, the mule at the beginning was the exact same animation and line as from Applebuck Season.
But Spitfire is a pegasus, so why isn't she helping. And as they explained it was simply "wing power" (proabably a play on words from "horsepower") which was pretty much how fast they could fly. Heck, why didn't Pinkie use here flying-helicoptery-thing from the episode with Gilda (Griffon on the Brush I think?) to help.

I know what key a trumpet is in, man. I write for everything-and thus I am aware that clarinets share the same key as trumpets, or "B flat".

And by the way, the sound is only limited by how well you play. It sounds epic on a clarinet, so it should sound likewise on a trumpet. XD
Ah, thanks. I don't know why I bothered saying what key it is in, sorry . Lyrics would be nice, I find that having the words can help me play the song (I found a website with Portal 2's "Want You Gone" for piano, which I changed to trumpet). Thanks a ton .

It was very good. Definitely continuing the good-streak of episodes. Tons of new ponies too. And we got another filly Fluttershy moment.
The one thing I was wondering was why Spitfire didn't help make the tornado, but there's probably a good explanation for that.

Well, I tell you. I sat down about 2 weeks ago, and began listening to every detail of MandoPony's Karaoke cover. With that, I managed to create an orchestrated version of Smile, along with my own pitch identifications for the lyrics, and the guitar and piano.

I play a trumpet (While the smile song may not sound as good on it, I don't have a piano/guitar and I like music on the trumpet.) which is key of B flat.

I haven't really read that many fan-fictions. I started reading Wayward Knight (if that's what it's called, forgive me if I make a mistake in a name.) and read Aurora Spark a while ago (I read the first four chapters.) They were both very good. Other than that I haven't read any fan-fics.
That's the old thread yes, but I was referring to one of the pictures someone posted. It was rather tall, if I remember correctly. Had Rainbow Dash peeking over a cloud, lots of charts. I think it was posted somewhere around the 1300's. I'll search though :P.
When you say "alicorn", you DO mean he is of mixed bloodlines, right? That is perfectly fine. And you understand the science pretty well. Aside from the typical Wingicorn Hate you will experience from people who see wings AND a horn and automatically call "Mary-Sue" without bothering to read what you put down, it looks like you have it covered! Just remember, if anyone complains about mixed bloodlines, "Baby Cakes" made it canon.
(Also, don't know if this is accepted everywhere yet, but "Alicorn" capitalized is reserved tor the Princessed (Cosmic Alicorns). Try to stick to a lowercase "a" when possible, or "pegacorn", although that type of creature is in fact called an alicorn in literature. I love Wikipedia.)
Any thoughts for his colors?
Also, when I look at your drawings, I notice a great deal of improvement from your earlier ones, but some things I still notice that are a bit off are the eye size and placement (too small and too far back), the ears (too small, but in the right spot). and the hind legs (remember, the pony's "butt" is actually made up of the flank, not separate from it).
Be sure to take a look at other pictures for reference, that really helped me out too. Not everyone has been drawing for years like I have, and I still get stuck sometimes. There is nothing wrong with tracing some pictures, even, just to practice the lines a bit.

And on an almost unrelated note, I'm attempting at drawings a comic for the story of my characters. It's not something that I'm up all night drawings and perfecting, just something I do in my spare time to get my thoughts onto paper visually. After I clean it up and add details I'll share it if anyone wants. Not trying to boast about it, just saying that if anyone would like I could post it (when it's done, of course).
And before I leave, on the old thread there was a giant diagram/chart that pretty much explained bronies. It was huge, and had all different kinds of information. If anyone could direct me to where it is in the old thread or point me to where I can find it, I'll be really glad.

Iron Spear sounds good, actually. But the fact that he is an alicorn/pegacorn/wingicorn is probably going to be an issue here. Just ask Silverlance... You may want to reconsider his race. I play Silverlance's mixed bloodline in a way that both his unicorn and pegasus attributes are reduced quite a bit. Iron Spear might be better off as a full unicorn, then he could use his telekinesis to wield the spear. As a unicorn, he would serve as a nice compliment to your pegasus soldier.
The issue with Shining Armor wasn't his name, it was the fact that he is (possibly) canon and Twilight's brother (although I guess at one point there was a rumored alicorn by that same name).
Your other guy? I have tried to think of a name for him, even in my absence. How does Swift Sword sound? I can try to think up something else, but seeing as he's a flying swordsman, that name sounds suitable. Either that, or Cloud Cutter.

I don't want to create hate towards him, but I think his alicorn-ness is part of who he is. And we are learning about alleles/traits in science, and when I asked our science teacher about a combination of recessive traits (blue eyes and green eyes, I know that green is blue combined with yellow, but this was for simplicity's sake.) she said they could end up with one eye blue and one eye green.
That was a lot of science, maybe a bit off topic, but I would like him to stay an alicorn. If it is in his better interest to change though, I will.
Edit: I just finished looking at your tutorial. Close to what I do, but different in some places. I could post a step-by-step of how I draw if it would help.

I'm spoilering even though it's a few days after the episode.
Epic. The new episode was very good, had me laughing from the start. I enjoyed all of it. And now we have Peewee the Phoenix! Hope our next episode is as good as this one (I don't know what it's going to be about).
I don't have any drawings to share today, but I would like to ask the community for some help.
I still can't name my two of my characters, which I find upsetting.
I was thinking of naming this one Iron Spear, as he is proficient with that weapon, but after seeing how everyone reacted to Shining Armor I'm rethinking that. And that's one of my older drawings of him, I could probably dig up some more drawings if I had to.
I can't think of any good names for him. He is proficient with a sword if that helps. And this is a tracing of one of my older drawings, which I did in GIMP.

It was really good. It became obvious what happened, at the end, but I kept hoping for the disaster to happenafterTwilight came back from the past. Also, I've never played MGS, or pretty much heard of it, so I don't know what everyone means, but I did notice Doctor Whooves. And also, when Twilight was talking to the crowd, who was the purplish-grey pegasus standing in front? And was that Dinky behind her? So many questions...
Anyway, great episode, but the first three of season two were my favorite.
Oh, and conversion topic: I have half-converted one of my friends (the one who came on the last thread) and got one of my other friends to watch Lesson Zero (but he didn't like it). I guess they won't know what their missing.
