Spiders become docile during the day.

I think this idea is fantastic. Also it might be used for barriers. You would pour it on the ground like redstone dust and it would make it so that skeletons and zombies cant cross, However creepers and spiders could! the reasoning behind this is that in many legends salt is considered a "pure" substance so undead creatures such as zombies or skeletons would be unable to cross.

It should be pretty rare though, maybe found in a medium sized deposit and then none for a few hundred blocks. I do like the idea of cooking with it, beings cooked meat needs to be nerfed anyways.

Thats what i thought at first but i was playing on peaceful. But yeah it was probably just my eyes playing tricks on me.

There are no people in the game other than real life players. And it's single-player, so nobody else is on.

Him? notch added himself into minecraft or something? It didnt look like the notch sprite.

I was playing on my second map last night, and swear to god i saw a person standing on top of one of my structures. It walked onto the other side of of my fort and then i couldn't find him when i looked later. It must of despawned or something? anyways i was on the wiki and i found that there was a monster called human that Notch removed, did he bring it back? It definitely wasn't a cow or a skeleton or something.
