posted a message on Map zooming: how does it work?
Maybe by making a map wall, don't know if it's possible on the PS3. Just hang as many item frqames on the wall as you like and connect the maps.

Anyways, after much puzzling work in Minecraft I finally figured the grid system out. It's not clear on the wiki, but I figured it out and I now know how to get my house in the middle of a zoomed out map.

For adventure maps. What if I don't want to play an adventure map?

Docm77 has designed an automated item sorting system. You tell me that's only for adventure maps? And a day/night system? To turn on/off the lights in your own city, that's only for adventure maps too? With that logic, yeah, you might as well stop updating.

I think you can place yourself in a chest now?

Yep. I'm not updating anymore, this just proves how far off track Mojang has gone.

Lol, what a crazy logic some fans have.

posted a message on Has Jeb ruined Minecraft?
    Quote from Borkefer

Ive been playing Minecraft since early alpha and Minecraft was always awesome. I used to be happy whenever there was a new update. Now im not. I dread every update and what it shall bring. Minecraft used to be better than what it is now. Id say the adventure update ruined adventure not made it better. Combat has become too easy. Even using a stone sword there isnt much difficulty to the game. And when you get iron or diamond you become a God. Back in beta and Alpha it used to be that you were always in danger. Even with diamond weapons and armor the chance of you dying from a mob was still substantial. And this is only the beginning of the dumbing of Minecraft. If Jeb continues to make the game easier and easier then the players who are looking or difficulty will leave and go find something else to play while the noobs roll around in their ignorance.

Err, the last snapshots and updates made it all harder. Play on hardcore if you want to feel danger. And hard mode will get armored mobs, fast spreading fire and I'm sure more will come. Also, hardmode recently got stronger creepers who deal a lot of damage. It's not easier than in alpha.

Here are a few things of how Minecraft has been ruined.

1.) Overly common ores. Back in alpha and beta it used to be that iron was revered as a rare item to have and diamond was the jewel to have and that anyone who had it could rule the world. Now iron is as common as gravel or like the clay that spots the oceans. It only takes 5 minutes to find iron. When 1.0.0 first came out I started a new survival world. I collected logs in the day and built a house and in the night i mined. I mined for 10 minutes and came back with 48 pieces of iron. Not because I mined well or I got lucky with its generation but because it is literally EVERYWHERE. I remember when having Iron armor meant you spent too much time playing the game.

Diamond is still very rare. And iron is just less rare to make the game less annoying. i.e. you don't have to create new picks every three minutes.

2.) The terrain generation. This has to be one of the worst changes to minecraft ever. The terrain is no longer fun. The terrain is no longer special. The terrain is no longer interesting or different or amazing. The terrain is crap. Absolute crap. Any players who joined after 1.0.0 wouldnt know what im talking about. If you dont go to digiex.net and download mclauncher it allows you to play any previous form of minecraft ever. I play more on mclauncher in alpha than I do modern Minecraft now. Because modern Minecraft is too easy. The terrain looks like crap. Tall grass is literally everywhere! When it came out it beta 1.6 it was only in little patches then in 1.0.0 the amount that could spawn quadrupled in numbers. Now tall grass is everywhere and it looks terrible. Mountains used to be able to spawn in every biome now they have their own biome which looks terrible as well. Instead of it being like it used to be where mountains were cool and in every biome it seems that they took all the mountains and condensed them into a single biome. Now the mountains just clump together and it looks like bad acne. Beaches. This is something ive seen a lot of complaints of. In 1.8 beaches were removed and now it is grass that border lines the oceans and maybe a few spots of sand. then in 12w01a Jeb tried to bring back beaches but did Jeb make them as good as before? No all he did was make the border blocks of water into sand so now it doesnt resemble beaches it looks like sand is climbing up the hills and it looks terrible. And the removal of gravel beaches I miss them. Gravel beaches were interesting things I liked seeing them. They made the terrain around water seem better. Then they added ugly biomes like swamps, jungles, plains, mushroom biomes, and they made ice biomes look like crap too. Snow biomes used to be cool.

I still love the extreme hills environment. It's the place to live, really. And you can always make the terrain interesting. Build villages, towers castles, whatever! And come on. Gravel beaches really? If there were poo peaches, would you miss them too?

3.)Too many bad ideas being added. Potions, the end, bosses, villages, villagers, singleplayer = multiplayer, emeralds. Its just a load of bad ideas. I liked it when I was the only human in the world now we have these stupid villagers that for some odd reason resemble squidward. Potions were bad too. Jeb even said that by the time potions are complete he wishes to have 1000+ potions in the game. I dont want 1000+ potions that make the game easier! I dont want all this brewing stuff that makes Minecraft resemble World of Warcraft or Runescape. Even the end was a terrible idea. I like games without a sole accomplishment thats what makes them more fun than games like call of duty. It was better when you made your own accomplishments. One of the WORST ideas jeb has ever had is the merge of singleplayer and multiplayer. This causes great amounts of lag especially for people with bad computers. I like the idea of lan I just dont like the idea of how the server is always running. It makes the game much slower in terms of the mechanics of it like placing blocks or when animals move. Now they move stop move stop.

More ideas=more options. You don't HAVE to use them! One thing I do agree about. With potions and enchanting make the game seem like some sort of dungeons and dragons RPG. Same goes with a new dimension, new portal, new dragon. What's next? Quests? I hope that will stop. Still, you don't have to use it. I also agree on the lag, but 64 bit Java fixed everything for me at least.

I could come up with many more ways that Jeb is ruining the game because there are so many ways. My advice to you Mojang is to
A.) Fire Jeb, he is only making things worse
B.) Put Markus back in charge
C.) Revert to beta 1.7 and well see where things go from there.

I appreciate any responses and tell me if I need to add anything.
