I would've voted on the second option in your poll but you spelled grammar wrong so I feel like I'd be a little more dumb for choosing it. As far as your idea goes, would I personally join? No, the only reason I need is that you're going to be running it in 1.7.10. That's hilarious!

posted a message on Does/Would Microsoft take action against Pixelmon servers?

It is time. I'm going to start reporting P2W Pixelmon servers whom I believe infringe on the EULA and I will be keeping a list of the servers I reported in this post along with a link to their website to determine if Microsoft does in fact shut them down after some time passes. I'll be starting with the servers listed on the official website.

    Reported P2W MC server list:

    -EosCraft

    Reported P2W Pixelmon server list:

    -Evolvecraft

    -PixelSky

    -UniversalRealms

    -MirageCraft

    -PixelmonNightRealmz

*This list/post will be edited to add more servers in the future*

*Update 4/5/17: Decided to go ahead and add a regular P2W MC server to the list. The P2W Pixelmon servers appear to be unaffected as of this date.

It's one of the most popular mods out there, who wouldn't want to play on a multiplayer server featuring it? It does benefit me, because it ceases to exist. Actually that speeding example is not comparable to this issue, as it affects everyone. Make my life better? I feel like this is just the same question I had just answered, if you're not going to bother reading it in it's entirety then I'll consider you to be a troll asking the same thing over and over.

Well first of all, it's not illegal nor infringement to download anything at all from the internet nor is it to use an ad-blocker.
Secondly, it's as if you're trying to justify criminal activity by saying something like: "But Jimmy broke someone's window and no one punished him for it! So why do I have to be punished for breaking one?"

What purpose does it serve to report a server that doesn't follow the EULA? I don't see the reasoning here.

The reason could be anything, it's infringement. In my case it's because basically every Pixelmon server in existence is P2W and in order to fix that they need to be shutdown by force. If enough servers get taken down or sued into oblivion by Microsoft eventually it'll take effect as word spreads I think.

After all, servers need money to run and players need to understand that management and custom features aren't free.

Yeah, I figure a lot of server owners would play that card but it's easily dismissed by saying one wrong doesn't make a right. Of course they deserve to be paid for their hard work and effort, but would that excuse work in court? Nope.

posted a message on Is Minecraft actually bad now?

It only took me a split second to come to a decision on the poll. No, it's not good, here's why. I started playing MineCraft during the Beta phase, so what it was at that time was acceptable considering it's then status. However, now there's a severe lack of content when it could be so much more and it's not a beta release anymore so it's completely unacceptable on Mojang's part. There should be way more to do in the core game now, not the same thing it's been at since the beta with only a couple additions after a couple years. The majority of the community shouldn't have to look towards amateur programmers for content to improve the game like they do.

As for some of your points, OP. I also disagree. Griefing and PvP is a part of the game, it's not at all okay to force everyone to adhere to your way of playing the game.

Pixelmon is a big and I think popular mod for MineCraft but it's biggest problem is the server owners whom I believe infringe on Microsoft's EULA heavily yet still get away with it to this day because they sell things from the mod making the vast majority of servers pay to win because they sell the strongest creatures and best equipment. That's just the tip of the iceberg too. However, a while ago when I was fed up with them I looked over the EULA which says that any mod you make for MineCraft is essentially owned by Microsoft I believe, therefore selling anything from any mod would be considered infringing on Microsoft's EULA agreement, I think.

Might have just been if it gives one player a huge advantage over another. Which is exactly what it does in the Pixelmon servers, because the mod actually disables the core vanilla aspect of MineCraft and replaces it with it's own. Which server owners then sell to players for a greater advantage.

So my question is, does anyone know of any Pixelmon servers Microsoft themselves have shutdown or if they agree with me that it is infringement? I did report a couple a few months ago but I don't even remember the names of the servers except one which is shutdown but I have no way of knowing if it's just due to the owner shutting it down themselves or if Microsoft had anything to do with it. (I am happy about that though, the owner was very corrupt and a lot of people knew it.)

Colmillo206, it sounds more like your suggestion belongs on the Tough as Nails mod thread, not here. Though, if it's even possible to do that (add an item which provides thirst for another mod, doesn't make sense to me but I'm not a programmer.) I wouldn't suggest doing it as Tough as Nails is a dead mod and if you haven't noticed it yet, you'll soon be finding that it's riddled with bugs as well. The developers are those that made the Biomes O' Plenty mod, however, all of their attention seems to be focused on it instead.

It also sounds like with CraftTweaker you should be able to do that anyway.

Falling tree's sounds like something that can be abused in Multiplayer.
