The FM Debugmod has been updated to 1.2.4 and adding it to the internal mods again fixes my problem with minecraft not loading through the launcher so if yours is stalling and not getting to the mojang screen on OS X or Linux then give it a try.
This mod corrects many of the problems by splitting up the debug info and mapping each function to its own button. F3 will still bring up the debug text as before, but the graphs are now toggled by F4. Each toggles independently so you can view either the text, the graphs, both or neither. The graphs themselves are now restricted to the lower left corner of the screen, ensuring that they don't overlap the debug text or important parts of the game screen. In addition, the graphs are faster and will not continue drawing if the game is paused or exited. Pressing F7 will toggle the opacity of the graphs between 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25%.
NEW IN 1.2.4v1: Minecraft 1.2.4 added the ability to turn on debug info without the graphs by pressing Shift+F3. The controls of the FM DebugMod have been changed accordingly. F3 brings up minimal debug mode and Shift+F3 brings up full debug mode with graphs. This is the opposite of how Minecraft normally works, and should be more usable. F4 does nothing. F7 will still change graph opacity as it always has.
All of those have been updated. I actually just updated them yesterday as I found the link again. Modloader is first and Optifine is second. Inventory Tweaks is in the external mods section as it installs through the mods folder naturally.
Don't use the "Early Access Release" Update 4 of Java 7 that you're using. Stick with the latest Update 3 for now. Try that.
Also, instead of having Inventory Tweaks in the "mods" folder being treated as an "External" mod, remove it from that folder and add it to the list of "Internal" mods instead. Modloader mods can be added to the list of internal mods too rather than having to be listed as an external mod by placing them in the mods folder. That way, you can also list it before OptiFine and it can also do additional compatibility checking etc. Plus, try without Inventory Tweaks and see what happens when you have only Modloader and OptiFine loaded.
Alright, I forgot that I never actually posted my 5 errors that I was receiving with Magic Launcher. Modloader is first, Optifine, then InvTweaks. All of them are currently 1.2.4 updated (Optifine being the preview of course.)
and I see no-one is answering the problems everyone is getting with this program.

I believe this is the error everyone is getting with this, I for one am getting it, and no-one is trying to aid us in fixing this problem.
With or without mods this error will still persist, and from what I'm gathering there is no fix to this.
Funny how this works for so many others but you claim everyone gets your error.
How about this? Maybe you need to provide standard details so people also have something else to work from in order to possibly try and help you.
Let's start with the following standard details:
Are you on a PC or Mac?
What are your system specs?
Have you updated your system drivers?
Have you updated Java?
If on 64-bit Windows, do you have both the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Java installed like is needed?
Do you have Java 6 (1.6) installed or just Java 7 (1.7)?
Have you updated your LWJGL?
What version of Minecraft are you trying to use Magic Launcher with?
Are you trying to use the .exe or .jar edition of Magic Launcher?
Are you using the latest version of Magic Launcher?
Are you trying to run Magic Launcher with some batch file or script command instead of directly?
Do you have Minecraft installed to a location other than default?
What mods are you trying to load with Magic Launcher?
What order do you have those mods listed in?
Are all of those mods for the correct version of Minecraft you are using?
What about posting an actual log file rather than just the error report?
What steps, if any, have you taken to try and resolve your issue?
Start with those and anything else that you can think of adding. Then, someone might be able to help you.
What's your point? That doesn't say anything. Is that before or after OptiFine? More importantly, what is that compared to? Also, a lot of things depend on your system specifications and whether or not you have your drivers, Java, and LWJGL updated. Doesn't look like you're asking anything which means you're just complaining. Of course, that then goes back to the fact that your complaint doesn't say anything.
I found a bug! Holding F3 and Space in water made me Crash
If you're going to say something like that, you need to also point out whether or not you were able to reproduce the crash multiple times and if it always happens that way or just sometimes. Also, steps that you have taken (if any) to try and resolve the issue (such as updating drivers, Java, LWJGL, etc).
Connected Textures does not work anymore, please fix it.
Does the texture pack you are using support connected textures? What texture pack are you trying to use? Did you check to make sure you have the Connected Textures option enabled?
MagicLauncher won't update Minecraft, specifically from 1.2.3 to 1.2.4. I haven't used MagicLauncher for very long, so this is the only update I've been through with it so far.
Is there something I should do to make it update? I'm on a mac if that matters. Also, the "Force Update" button in the options window is greyed out, if that matters.
That question always seems to still surprise me a bit for some odd reason.
Close out of Magic Launcher.
Backup your Minecraft Saves.
Backup your "minecraft.jar" file.
Run Minecraft directly using the normal default launcher (instead of using Magic Launcher) and load a world so you can update the Minecraft files.
Close out of the world and also out of Minecraft itself too.
Run Magic Launcher again but go into the setup screen to disable/remove all of the mods that are now no longer compatible since they were for the previous version of Minecraft.
While there, see if there is anything listed under the External Mods section. If so, those are also most likely outdated now too. So, you will have to make sure to clean those out of the "mods" folder underneath your ".minecraft" installation folder.
Add any mods to the list that are compatible with the new version of Minecraft.
In addition to that, it's VERY buggy at times. From infinite wait states (crash) to serious chunk errors (invisible)...
Excuse you?
OptiFine is actually VERY STABLE.
The problems that some people have are usually due to their own system and/or their own lack of knowledge.
For instance, the "invisible" chunk errors you refer to is NOT due to OptiFine at all. This issue is a well-known issue with NVIDIA graphics cards when the "Threaded Optimization" setting is enabled or set to auto. It's an attempt by NVIDIA to try and artificially speed up graphics by spreading parts of graphics rendering over multiple cores. BUT, it causes graphics to get out of sync instead.
I actually just recently posted about this AGAIN in this thread just yesterday.
And, the issue is NOT even limited to Minecraft.
NVIDIA's "Threaded Optimization" setting is known to cause things including, but not limited to:
Crashes.
Lags.
General decreased performance overall.
System increasingly slowing down when processing lots of graphics.
Other problems (including those listed above) are also often caused by people not having their system drivers (especially their video drivers) updated. And, not having Java updated or the correct version or edition of it. On 64-bit Windows, for instance, you need both the 32-bit and 64-bit editions. Also, not having LWJGL updated. Or, having LWJGL updated to a version that doesn't work properly on Linux. Those are just SOME examples.
Thanks for the answer BUT, if I disable threaded optimization, then multi core Optifine will be useless anyway as it won't be utilizing multiple cores as was the purpose of downloading the multi core version.
WRONG!
This is a well-known issue with NVIDIA's Threaded Optimization feature. It has nothing to to with whether or not any program (not just the multi-core edition of OptiFine) uses multiple cores for processing. It is an attempt by NVIDIA to artificially speed up graphics processing. But, there have been many cases and examples (again, not just with Minecraft) where it actually causes things to get out of sync instead. It is known to cause problems like this as well as lags, performance slow-downs, and even outright crashes in some instances (yet again, not just with Minecraft).
I personally have also noticed performance increases with reduced or removed lag in other games (including first-person shooters) after having disabled the threaded optimization setting.
Here are a couple of links that also talk about the problem:
So for a mod like Millenaire, which has certain parts in the .minecraft folder, that would be something that the launcher won't do, correct?
Wrong.
Magic Launcher works with those mods just fine. You still list the mod in Magic Launcher but you may also have to copy certain extra files to their appropriate locations.
An example of this is the Single-Player Commands (SPC) mod where you still have to copy the "WorldEdit.jar" file from the mod package into the "/.minecraft/bin" folder. The SPC mod package itself still gets added to the list of internal mods in Magic Launcher.
when i do search it wont let me just seclect the jar it gouse inside of it and wont use the jar
What on Earth are you talking about?
The ".minecraft" folder is a Folder Location.
The "minecraft.jar" file is an Archive File.
In the Magic Launcher setup advanced configuration settings, you would select the minecraft.jar file at the top. After clicking the "Select" button, you would browse to the location the file is in, click the file to highlight it, and then click the "Open" button. The button should really say Select here as it doesn't actually open it. It selects it.
When browsing to the correct ".minecraft" installation folder, if you need to change the location that is specified, browse to that folder so the path shown is correct and then click the "Open" button so that the correct path that your "minecraft.jar" file is located in is showing.
Hey guys, I'm using the multiple core version of Optifine and I have noticed a problem: I get see through world holes A LOT.

I REALLY MISS the organization of watched forums being SORTED BY TOPIC like before.
AND, I miss that all of my watched forums (again, previously sorted into sections by topic) used to be ALL ON ONE PAGE that I could quickly scroll through.
I also HATE that it seems the only way to see all my previously watched forums are by the most recent rather than in a specific order like they were before.
While the first pic does show the new lighting, My guess is that the "second" thing (in that first pic) is not only that the chest opens (with the lock extending down) but that the lock itself is actually protrubing just like the new pig snouts.
The drop mechanism can be made much simpler. Instead of pushing all of the sand or gravel blocks out and then opening a space to drop one, just push only the bottom one out for the row you want. It drops, the piston retracts and is automatically reset. May have to make my own to show what I mean.
It's actually not that impressive. It's basically just a self-building bridge/wall being loaded with the correctly-colored cubes in the correct order to make the picture. In fact, the picture has to be already assembled in reverse order underneath the ground so that it could actually feed it up and fill the picture in using the correct order.
Ah, seems it's my Internet Explorer at the moment. Not sure why. Anywhere else on here works fine. Switched to Chrome to post this. Usually like using Chrome anyhow, but this usually gives me problems with the pages sometimes not loading in Chrome. Don't have the problem with Chrome anywhere else. So, let's try this one more time. If not, I give up.G0denEye93 did NOT make the Pistons Mod. Hippoplatimus was the one that made the Pistons Mod. You're welcome. Please reply back even if that solved the problem or if you figured out how else to fix it.
Oh, and shouldn't this be in the Magic Launcher thread instead?

Wow, that's interesting. That might just help sp614x figure out where certain bugs are based on the behavior of that other mod. Nice find!

Good thing, since that is exactly what is mentioned in the OP and has also been mentioned many times throughout this thread.
From the "Compatibility With Other Mods" Section of the OP:
What have you been posting? Maybe you should ask moderators in the support section instead. Providing examples could maybe have helped.
Mubled? Do you have the "Connected Textures" option enabled? Does the texture pack that you're using support connected textures?

Yes, this works with mods that do not require modloader.
You can save them anywhere you want but you should organize them into a single folder to make them easier to find and keep track of.
