First I must say cool effect of the enchanting table book to open up when you go near it.
So is the table enabled yet because all i can do is put items and armor in to see a random number on the side. I know the effects are supposed to be a unknown but how is it imbued?
Those numbers represent how many levels you need to enchant the item.
For those that don't see it...
On the top line - Empty, Book, Empty
On the middle line - Diamond, Obsidian, Diamond
On the bottom line - All obsidian
This is how you craft an enchantment table in 1.9 Prerelease #3. I haven't seen what the effects do yet. I'd like to see though.
Heres a video showing me crafting one and placing it down, and how the book moves when you approach it, and what it shows when you place in a diamond sword.
I'll definitely try and find out what the enchantments do. If you guys know, feel free to post them.
It's not.
If iron is overpowered, what do you think of diamond...?
Diamond is insanely hard to attain. Diamond SHOULD have all the power it has.
I'm just saying iron seems a bit too overpowered. I think it lowers damage way more than it should. I can easily mine 24 iron in no time, I have about 180 iron on my hardcore world now and I've only been playing for 2 hours. I'm on my second set of iron armour as well. Meanwhile I only have gotten 6 diamonds and 5 went into a sword and a pick (so I could go to the nether).
(on top of that, the only diamonds I found were right next to a cave spider spawner... LOL)
So I've pretty much found that it is nearly impossible for me to die with a set of iron armour on. Has anyone else experienced the same or similar?
Seriously though, either I'm blocking well or skeletons only hit like half a heart of damage on iron, even in hardcore. Although I have accidently stepped in lava a few times trying to put out lava streams, I had a bucket of water with me anyways...
Perhaps I need to go to the Nether.
Not sure how to get these yet, but I do have recordings of these up. I just wanna discuss which ones are your favourites.
Personally I kinda like Where Are We Now, but its not in the game yet :sad.gif:
If you want to listen to them, they're here (shameless self promotion, sorry):
Yes I know they've been around on youtube, but now that they're actually in the game, I feel like its worth discussing.
New sounds in place of the current ones would not be in 1.8, C418 stated this back in July. Though it is unknown why the endermen and silverfish sounds weren't added.
Note the end: "So what does this mean? Probably that you eventually in some coming months might have a better sounding Minecraft, that’s what it means. Has this anything to do with the 1.8 update? Nope"
The sounds are created, there is no apparent reason known at the moment as to why these sounds have not been introduced though. Not even C418 knows why they weren't included. There will probably be a hotfix soon though.
The reason for it is because it's not an essential gameplay mechanic. They see it as if it were like having an option to change difficulty or brightness or w/e on a key -- albeit its not as bad as Dead Island where they had noclip bound to a key (LOLOL)
Do hope they add the option to change it, or just make it bound to a single F# key. Because I know some people have to toggle fog to fix framerate (PaperBatVG, a well known youtuber, had this problem for a while)

With the NBT item system, this is a possibility and can easily be added, and probably will be added.
EDIT: @renadi, well there ARE going to be bosses and stuff I'm pretty sure. These potions are possibly in preparation for that.

But seriously, this is incredible.

Problem solved, they'll take a bit to die, but they die.
EDIT: Its faster to use buckets of lava and leave the lava flowing, but if he drops the pearl, you won't get it.

Ah my bad, just wondering if it still worked on 1.8 with mods and stuff, not really things about the map
