so I was watching Zisteau's newest IM beta video (Because Zisteau)
The everforge looks bland. There just seems to be a bunch of furnaces and benches lying around, and anvils. There is no block variation. Now, I know this is a beta, but because it's a beta, i'm gonna critic. I threw up some moc examples of things you could do in the forge.
Maybe some sort of giant sources of lava and water meeting to create obsidian, or two giant buckets pouring lava and water to create metal.
Instead of benches and walls of furnaces, you could do something like this. And if you don't want players getting access to anvils, you could used to poorer quality ones.
Little things like this, or big things, add a lot to the area, instead of running around a mega-dungeon waving your sword at things till they stop moving.
Please make areas more then brush strokes and atmospheric caves ;____;
Ok, now on topic. I'm trying to stay away from Inferno Mines spoilers, but i was wondering, out of the beta you (yes YOU, the person reading this) have seen so far, how does the difficulty look for far? Medium? Hard? ROMhack? mixture?
Well I thought I'd throw together a quick speedrun esque video of #8 in your mini series. Its pretty bear bones, with totally no mood killing music in it :-) Sorry the quality is so bad, my computer can't record in HD or render it :-(
This is a tad off-topic, but does anyone else think Vechs should do a Borderlands 2 LP after he is done with Towns? He references it in a few videos/posts and says he really likes it. I think it would make for a pretty cool LP, especially if he gets an awesome gun and just sprays it everywhere while doing his evil laugh.
Lets be honest here. Vechs is not that great at looks. There are defiantly some areas that are very immersive that give us the perception of a great looking area, but the aesthetics in SH have never been anything close to Thad's maps or possibly three_two. However that doesn't mean that BDbeta was acceptable, the terrain was pretty bland, and hopefully there are some dungeons in IM that look good.
Vechs, a (not very) quick question about something I just remembered.
When 1.4 (the one with the wolves, not the wither-y one) first came out, I remember coming to this thread and seeing Super Hostile 4. But it wasn't Kaizo Caverns. The screenshot of it was a flat area was full of wolf spawners and the description said something like "you'll need to tame wolves to get through this." I came back some time later and saw Kaizo Caverns had taken it's place. And then I forgot about it until now.
There's a very real possibility that this was a dream, I often have mundane dreams about this sort of thing, and later mistake the memory for real life.
But I just wanted to make sure. Does this map exist or did it ever exist?
Yeah, that run has its flaws, Revrend and I were in a heated battle for a week trying to break the elusive 19 min marker. The TAS run is something even more ridiculous, and I hope one day we can try and get to that time. It's definitely possible considering Minecraft is random as all hell.
New snapshot definitely can make it shorter with running up stairs. I love that addition.
I can't remember, who is it with the fastest time?

I didn't even finish it. The monster hunter gimmick kind of wore of pretty quick.
@Strat Ye. He was pretty rattled when he replied :-)
