posted a message on Nothing Is Fun For Me Anymore; I Can't Get Happy

    "I'm ready, depression~"

I've had many a bout with depression, anxiety, overwhelming stress and other horrible, horrible things. I've been on medication for it, but now I don't need it. If things are really bothering you to the point where nothing can break your funk, I sincerely advise you seek professional help (as others have stated) some medication can help even out the chemical imbalances in your brain, and trust me it's a huge help. When things start going your way and you think you can handle 'everything,' ween yourself off (unless advised otherwise.) As you bounce back, things you love will probably start to feel right.

Having been there I understand. Even if you are not necessarily depressed, I've gone through similar phases myself. I wish you luck and never, ever give up.

posted a message on Please Please PLEASE help me out with my school project!

Well, I completed both surveys and left serious responses for all of the short answer sections. I understand the premise of both surveys and I'm assuming that's a portion of the grading. One of the only gripes I had was that in your survey (about parenting and the effects on a son/daughters physique and behavior) some of the survey answers were similar or would provide a vague answer.

For example one of the questions asked something like "how many chores are you asked to complete" and the responses were out of order and similar

    asked to do some

    asked to do a lot

    asked to do a few

    never asked

Some and few are similar, so it could have just been a three response question with the order of never, some, and a lot. If the survey randomly generates the order of the responses, then it's fine. If I'm being too critical, then just ignore me. All in all, both were interesting and I actually enjoyed finishing them because they were relative to my interests. I hope you both do well!

Well, I appreciate the tips and help Strahan, but it seems that it doesn't matter now. A friend of mine actually convinced a few people to split a Realm (which is a very nice service IMO)

I've hosted other games, but Minecraft just always has and probably always will not allow me to host. Oh well.

I've tried giving it out to some friends multiple times, but a utility I just recently tried told me that my port 25565 is not open (error: connection timed out.) I have an xfinity wireless gateway and I entered:

A service name (just for identifying the server)
    Service Type: TCP/UDP
Server IPv4: entered off of cmd ip config
Server IPv6: also tried using this off of cmd ip config
    Start Port: 25565
    End Port: 25565

Edit: I also tried the SAME service to check a port for Killing Floor, a game I can host, but it says it is ALSO closed which is false. Hmm.

posted a message on what do colleges deem as "bad posts" on social media?

By a "positive campus environment" he means that they background check to ensure potential students are ethical or not a threat (red flags would prolly be criminal record, blatant racism, radical agendas.) They are obligated to making sure that possible students are not a threat to other students or they're way of life. They are, in fact, responsible for the well-being of the student masses. So, yeah. Colleges and potential employers OFTEN scope out individuals using google searches. There are ways to cover up trails and to bury negative information about yourself.

From what I can tell, you express an interest in the sciences, which would probably be a positive for a college bond student. Outside interest in a field is a huge pro.

That's something evil... If that was something I happened to stumble upon in the middle of the night, I would have been exceeding pissed. Prolly would have woke up the entire house and ruptured my eardrums. 2/10 would listen again.

I'd love the Gears of War series, but every single game has it's own forms of Multi-player issues and bugs. Borderlands 1 was meh, borderlands the presequel was belgh, but Borderlands 2 was one of the best Cooperative games to ever be created. 10/10.

posted a message on Animal Crossing New Leaf anyone?
    Quote from EliVasq»

It is because 1. Villagers may insult you, even if its minor situation. 2. The game looked like a N64 game. 3. You may enter a situation that wasn't intended, for example, a game that has to do with money (which is very risky), or they may ask for a beloved belonging you have, and you can't say no sometimes (e.g. Elmer wanted my Donkey Kong game and when I said no, both choices were "OK!").

BUT!! That doesn't mean I hate the series, I only hate the Gamecube version.

Fun fact, it was originally designed and released (I think) for the N64 in Japan, but later ported in English to the GC (The moar you know)

I have fond memories of the game, but there were some situations as you mentioned that were, well, bad. They made strides worth of improvements in Wild Life. Freaking love that series.

    E.... maybe E10+

Whoa now. Let's all calm down a second.

This man has magical ET healing fingers which can spew limp spaghetti noodles AND he has laser beam eyes capable of self tattooing. Also, he wears cool blue short-sleeve tee shirts.

Rated M, cause I haven't seen a bad like this since Dante from Devil May Cry.

I'm torn between Marcus Fenix or Sam Fisher (before Blacklist).

Wow, I'm legit surprised that someone honored that huge, lovable meat slab. From that series I love the Carmine family, even if two-quarters of them met with untimely demises.

This question is infinitely difficult, but I'd like to give a shout out to the Final Fantasy series for having extremely good characters. I love so many of them, but I really like Steiner from Final Fantasy IX. He's a lovable oaf, but he's a valiant hero. He's sworn by honor and duty to serve his beloved queen and princess, but lives in the shadow of general Beatrix and her troops. He swears by his queen and his nation, never believing that she would do wrong let alone commit horrible atrocities. There is a distinct process of Steiner fighting his mixed feelings, ethics and responsibilities. He's a big ol' Teddy Bear.

What do you mean you search it on Google? Go to www.whatismyip.com. Having a dynamic IP isn't a problem, it just means you have to be sure you know your current external IP to give your friends. You can always install a dynamic DNS tool, like something from no-ip.com. What you call typical is IPv4, the one with colons is IPv6. You'll want to give your friend the v4 format IP.

Okay, thanks for the reply. I figured I needed the IPv4 version, as I have connected to other servers in the past. That is the IP I have provided to him, yet it doesn't appear to work (double and triple checked for accuracy.) By "googling" I just meant I typed "IP" in google which gives it to you (as seen in a youtube tutorial.) Though, that gives me the IPv6. I have used IPChicken and WhatIsMyIP to confirm my external IP.

Amen brother. Probably one of the cutest pokemon to boot. It's similar to it's adorable, real-life counterpart.

I looooooooooove the Earthbound series. And my ravenous doge Tara.
