I went ahead and downloaded this at my own risk. No, it is NOT a virus but it pretty much utterly fails and he took textures from other packs;

TheMirror posted a message on Warning texture pack creators, this person might be mixing your texture pack without your permissionPosted in: Resource PacksQuote from WitchyWitchington
Why is everyone so butthurt?
Everyone here knows they are your texture packs. Stuff gets stolen by people, it's life.
It's understandable for you to say that considering you haven't made one.
Had I not made one, my viewpoint likely would have been similar to yours.
However, after putting lots of hard work and dedication into Resonance for it to be simply stolen and reuploaded easy as that is a massive bummer.
Imagine spending weeks building a bike only for it to be stolen halfway through construction.
Please, be more understanding in the future. -

TheMirror posted a message on [0x]How to properly make a texture pack thread.[all versions]Posted in: Resource PacksAlright, we've been getting WAY too many improperly formatted texture packs recently, and I'd like to aid in remedying this.
Step 1
Come up with a nice title for your texture pack.
Try to come up with something other than "####Craft", because that's getting old quickly and if the first word is a common one, it'll likely be taken already. For example, I could have named my pack "SoulCraft" or something like that, instead I named it "Resonance!", which honestly looks and feels a lot better in my opinion.
Step 2
Format your title properly!
See that?
That's an improperly formatted title.
Now THAT'S a thread title!
A proper thread title should be formatted as such:
Quote from steelfeathers »[resolution][minecraft version]TITLE(pack version)Extra stuff
Thanks, steelfeathers!
Hats off to you, Fiftyniner, you can collect your sixty dollar prize at the end of the thread.
A NOTE ABOUT RESOLUTIONS
Just because you filled each block in with one color does NOT make it a 1x1 pack. Do NOT put 1x1 as your resolution unless it is ACTUALLY 1x1. Be sure to put "Looks likegarbage1x1" in either the thread description or after the thread name.
Step 3
The opening post!
You should come up with a summary of your pack that's quick, simple and to the point. Remember, nobody likes reading too much, especially this threadso make sure that it's short and sweet.
"hey guyz dis isz my furst pack LOL hop u lik it XD"
That doesn't cut it.
Use proper grammar and spelling! It's a lot more attractive than leetspeak and gibberish. I don't care how old you are, your computer either has a text editing program with a spellchecker or access to the allmighty tool known as Google.
Use them.
For an example of a good one, let's use NorthernerSouth's "Puffy Lines" pack's description.
"A bright and cheery simplistic texture pack based on patterns and clean design."
It tells what you can expect from the pack, it's short and it gets its point across. It's perfect.
Now on to images.
If you have no idea how to upload images, just go to http://www.imgur.com and drag your image files onto the window. How hard was that?
Now, nobody likes clicking links. Please use [ IMG ] tags instead of just posting links. Look, this is how it goes.
[img]YOUR LINK HERE[/img]
For example, I can post a link to an image.
http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/23500000/Soul-Eater-soul-eater-23559282-1920-1080.jpg
Doesn't look very attractive, and clicking on links is a hassle.
But what about using /URL?
Awesome Moon
Still a link nobody wants to click.
There we go!
Now on to the download link.
For the love of Notch, DON'T USE ADF.LY, PLEASE.
I understand if you have a very popular pack and you wanna start making a quick buck, but putting an adf.ly link as your first DL link for your first pack is ludicrous and honestly should be a punishable offense, IMO. Just don't do it. Use www.mediafire.com instead, no registration required and it's short and sweet. No wait to download times, nothin'. Just simplicity.
Finally, copyright.
You don't want anyone stealing your hard work, right? Of course not! Be sure to put in a copyright notice. It doesn't have to be all that fancy legal moonspeak, just casually yet clearly point out whether or not you allow redistribution of your textures or not. For example, here's mine;
Quote from "Mirror the Sexy Man" »You can edit this pack to your liking, but if you upload my pack with your edits or any textures from my pack, give credit or get removed. No stealing this pack now, kids!
That should do it.
And you're done!
Hope this helped anyone, the layout of this post probably isn't the best though. @_@ I've been working on it for a while now, so some feedback would be appreciated.

Is it me or is my topic, 'Zack's Pack' completely wiped from Minecraftforums? I can't find it in pages 1-30 nor google, nor forums search. This is going to **** me off if so.Posted in: Resource Packs -

TheMirror posted a message on Blurcraft! [1.7] [16x]Posted in: Resource PacksGet out of my Texture Packs, right now.
Why can't people TRY anymore? Come up with something ORIGINAL. Put EFFORT into it.
But no, five minutes in your favorite image editing program and you have **** ready for distribution. I'm sick of crap, effortless packs like these pushing texture pack artists like myself's hard work into the ground. Get out of here, unless you want to actually TRY next time. -

andrejolicoeur posted a message on HelP, im making a texturepackMake the grass grey and colour your grasscolor.png to be the colour you want the grass. Alternatively you can make your grass green, and make grasscolor.png mostly white with slight colour to tint the green you've chosen. The first method is easier and what most people do, take a look at my pack if you want to see how the second method would work. Best of luck!Posted in: Resource Packs

Something else I've noticed, half of the people who make those smooth packs I've seen at some point they're 12/13.
Of course, me myself being 14.. :3
BOO-YAH! Right up there! *high-five*

As for the copyright stuff, if you ever make your own pack, you'll see that it's not that fun to have people steal your work. You work hard on something and somebody else gets all the credit because they decide it looks cool and decide to take it? Nah. Not in my book.
