    Yes they said there will be an update that makes it the current version, adds skins, and somehow mods which I think will be downloadable content but I'm not sure.

    If that's the case, they'll do each update at a time. Like we'll be getting 1.7 next, then 1.8 and so on.

    There are some free games out there like Hexic. Not sure if its downloadable from Live though.Looking at this thread hours later, shows that there a lot of people devoted to minecraft. They would build stuff like this.

    Is that ip your external ip? That ip is your internal as you're part of a network, your external ip is from your isp.

    Am I missing something simple here?

    EDIT: I'm using 1.7.3, and I sometimes run a server on my computer, maybe some server files mess up the regular Minecraft files? Oh, and I think I might have some problem with java (maybe). I tried doing that thing where you check out the java version in the command prompt, and it never worked, but I DO have java installed (the latest version), and I DID add the path to the environment variables (although I don't remember if I had to or not).


    Do you have the latest version of Java installed? and yes, you can try Java 7.

    Server files don't require Minecraft to work.

    What OS you have?

    Was Modloader installed first before the other mods?

    That also happens with Stable17. Downgrade to Stable15 to see if it does that, just don't download the update.
