I cringe every time I hear the new leg-breaking sounds when you land from a distance. It's so sickeningly awesome.

I love this image so much. It's destined to become a new meme.
*clears throat* back on topic, I do actually love this design! So sleek! So compact! So stylish! And now only $19.95 plus shipping and handling!

Really, this needs to be in Minecraft NOW. Inc sacs need a use, the "look down at the map" mechanic is too good to use just once, and I can't count how many times I've wanted to jot something down for later when exploring. You, sir, recieve 413 internets.

I would like to remind you that Notch has been planning on NPC villages for a VERY long time. Yes, someone made an excellent mod that does something similar, but Notch has stated several times in the past that he tries not to draw inspiration from mods. I highly doubt that he will make NPC villages even close to the complexity of Millenaire, but rest assured that they will be useful in their own way.
*not strictly targeted at Luckycharm*
Remember when we thought The Nether was useless and unfinished? Look at what Jeb has done with it in 1.9. All I'm saying is that complaining about an incomplete feature in the Beta OF A BETA is fairly pathetic. Besides, Notch has already proven that they're willing to stretch the rules of the code freeze, so it's not out of the question that villages will be given a use in time for 1.0.

No, not really. Jeb said on Twitter that the Sky Dimension was being REPLACED by The End. The air portals don't even exist anymore.
Oh, we're not letting you get there THAT easily. Hack in some Eyes of Ender and give them a toss. They'll float upward and drift towards the closest stronghold.

If the sun was actually circular, it may be a problem, but Notch kept it pixelated. Ergo, it still fits with the rest of the game
I'm guessing that you also have a problem with snowballs? Slimeballs? Watches? Compasses? Eyes of Ender? Magma Cream? Music Discs? Ender Pearls? Apples? Diamonds? Redstone dust? GLowstone dust? Clay? Dyes? Meat?
Face it: Curves are EVERYWHERE in Minecraft. The fact that you only have a problem with it when it's the sun and moon makes me think that (am I really saying this?) you're a troll. If you want to try to justify your post, please do, but for now that it what you look like.

If you were Notch, would you want people hating on you because you decided against a bad idea you had a few months ago?
No? Then shut up. I'm sick and tired of these endless "I've lost all respect for Mojang" threads. Can't people just, I don't know, PLAY the game and wait until it's actually finished to form a final opinion on the game and it's developers?

That guy is a loser because EVERY SINGLE POINT HE MADE is either a ridiculously false claim or unreasonable whining.

However, if it's called "The End," then the supposed endgame (which Notch has been discussing for a LONG time) would most likely take place there, right? What could that endgame be, you might ask?
Dragons. I'm calling it right now, slaying dragons is how you will beat the game.

1. Gain experience points
2. Create enchantment table
3. Place tool or armor in enchantment table
4. Spend experience points on one of 3 enchantments
5. Surprise! They don't do anything yet.
